Was somewhat apprehensive after using another friend’s kennels elsewhere. So after checking several then found Foxholes and have been pleased my doggy is happy when she stays there. Always leaves with tail wagging and comes back happy. She loves the male dog carer. Teresa is always accommodating (even last minute). Great service!

Absolutely amazing kennels our two dogs are quite timid and scared but they've definitely come out of there shell whilst being here. Thank you so much for looking after Bailey and Bruno you've been amazing and we will definitely be using you in the future ☺️

My two cats, Charlie and Lola, stayed at Foxholes for 4 months while I was buying a house. They were cared for impeccably, the staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Mark who let me visit regularly and let me spend ages with them, despite them being ridiculously busy! I'm eternally grateful for the care they received.

These kennels provide a loving , caring and personal service I wouldn’t leave my 2 old terriers anywhere else . 2 weeks was the longest I left them and the dogs returned, happy clean and well cared for . They really put my mind at rest and my anxiety of leaving the dogs to go on holiday has greatly reduced to the point I am looking at another 2 week break which is something I have not been able to do for years! Thanks so much to all the dedicated staff !

EDITED: Since posting this review, the cattery has responded, and I’d like to clarify a few things. First, if you didn’t ask how much medication my cat needed, when it was needed, or other basic care questions, then yes, I had to repeat myself because your staff were clearly uninformed and would have administered it incorrectly. Second, I never claimed the initial photo I shared was of my cat when I picked him up. However, it is a photo of him post-surgery, which was a direct result of the lack of care at Foxholes. I’ve now added a photo of him at the moment when we collected him which was deeply alarming to see. The fact that you’ve admitted my cat’s eyes were weeping, only to later claim this must have happened on the car ride home, is completely contradictory. Both statements cannot be true! And the most critical question remains: if my cat’s eye was in such a terrible state that it RUPTURED, why did no one contact me? At no point did I suggest the cattery caused this injury, but your complete lack of communication allowed it to escalate, leading to major surgery to remove his eye. Lastly, your account of the telephone conversation is entirely false. I recorded the call, and at no point was my partner anything close to “abusive” to your staff. He was simply seeking, at the very least, an apology or explaination —which your staff never gave. Instead, they laughed down the phone. Your behavior has shown nothing but contempt, and the lack of care and communication has been appalling. If I could give this place 0 stars then I would!! Absolutely awful treatment from the start of our visit. I left my cat here over Christmas and when my partner picked him up he had a completely ruptured eye with discharge and blood covering half his face which has led to him having to have his EYE REMOVED!! Absolutely NO communication from the staff at all about this, including when I went to pick my cat up!! I honestly got a bad feeling about this place from the start, the cattery / kennels are in awful condition and dogs were going absolutely mental which I’ve seen in other reviews. I dropped my cat off at reception and was trying to explain the medication he needed to be given and kept being told just to hand him over before even telling the staff how much medication he needed / when he needed it / how it needed administering which left me uneasy thinking that had I not repeated myself about 4 times he probably either wouldn’t have been given his medication or given it incorrectly. The staff were rude when I asked if I could take my cat to his pen and basically snatched him off me, again this just makes you wonder what the conditions must be like. There are so many awful accounts of this place and it makes me wonder why it’s even allowed to still be open! No wonder it has such a bad rep in the area I’ve since come to find out. I honestly can’t believe the absolutely appalling handling that the staff had of this situation. Understand that they aren’t responsible for the eye infection that my cat must has got, but to sit on this and not have any communication with us when it looked so bad and clearly needed urgent veterinary care is shocking and beyond heartbreaking to think of the state my cat must have been in during his stay. Not to mention that when my partner rang up to complain the staff member was clearly sniggering when we said we would be reporting them to the local council. To think that people put their full trust and expect care for their pets from this facility but the staff think it’s FUNNY when a cat needs his eye removing due to their complete incompetence is disgusting. DO NOT LET YOUR PET COME HERE - PLEASE READ THE AWFUL REVIEWS THIS PLACE HAS HAD!!!

Great staff. Our dogs are fine there. Raw fed, so not as easy as opening cans, but the staff accommodate their needs amongst the demands of their role.

Very helpful knowledgeable staff who care deeply about the animals they look after, to tailor the stay to the dogs individual needs. My dog came home from the kennels a couple of days ago very happy with his stay. Due to being a young springer spaniel, he has very high energy levels, and he appeared very well walked and socialised.

Cannot rate this place highly enough. My 11year old border collie has had 2 stays here now and he loves it!! Goes in without even a look back and was in no hurry to go home. Came home his usually bouncy happy self nice and clean and can quite honestly say seems to have had the time of his life. Will see you all again very soon thankyou for taking such good care of him. Time for a snooze now after all the excitement.

As far as service goes I couldn’t recommend this place enough, the staff were friendly and were happy to answer any queries I had which really put my mind at ease while my little princess stayed with them. She came back white and clean from a exciting week on her holidays. Will definitely be back soon!!!!
