To us, it was the perfect decision to come here. Even though it was colder than usual beginning of June (between 11 and 17 degrees Celsius during the day), we had a fantastic time. The owner Michael was very welcoming, mindful and always reachable by phone; he also had some great recommendations on what do and see. The tent is spacious and is very cozy. The mattress is comfortable, the sheets and blankets warm, the electric heater worked well. There are two plugs in the tent, so you have to choose between TV, heater, lights (but there is an additional light with batteries) and charging your own devices (but you could charge them in the kitchen). You have your own plates, cutlery, a little water heater, a bodum coffee maker (newly bought from Michael after we asked if there is a possibility to cook coffee!) and a cutting board in the tent, also your own kitchen towel and dishwashing brush if you don`t want to use the ones in the kitchen. The kitchen has a microwave, a water heater, a toaster, a sink, a fridge and a freezer. There are also 2 barbecue grills with charcoal. The tent and both Shepards huts have their own spacious bathroom with sink. Everything is very new and clean. We recommend a car when coming here. If you like hiking, go to the nearby Pentland Hills Regional Park Flotterstone. For a tour of around 3 hours with medium effort, take the red track. After Carnethy Hill, make a right and follow the blue track back. Make sure you visit Rosslyn Chapel (get tickets at least 1 day in advance, also for Edinburgh Castle if you plan going there, tickets sell out quickly). We also enjoyed St. Andrews and South Queensferry (cute town, nice boat trip).

Fantastic little place in the country, everything you need is provided, bring your own food and drink (fridges space allocated to your tent), toilet/shower shed for your tents use, great little find and friendly/helpful host.

Roslin Glamping provides a well thought out glamping experience close to the Pentland Hills and with easy access to Edinburgh. There are three glamping units (two bell tents and a shepherd's hut) within a paddock of a working farm. Each of the bell tents have their own shower/toilet facility and there is a shared kitchen area (including fridge, larger kettle and toaster) - each with drinking water on tap. There are also barbecues available for each of the bell tents. Our bell tent came with a TV, small kettle and power sockets as well as comfortable bed, and a couple of small stools. The area was well lit at night so you could easily get to the bathroom/kitchen but without the lighting intruding into the tents. Gravel paths have been laid between the tents and kitchen/shower area making it easy to get around in any weather. The bell tents have been pitched on decking - keeping the floor off the ground undoubtedly keeps the whole tent much warmer through the night/early morning. We found it comfortable and cosy and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
