βGreat spot for a Parkrun on a Saturday at 9:30am, keep in mind the triple loop. The boardwalk by the pond is a special feature of the park. Picnic benches and casual benches are scattered around the park. It's a kid friendly place to kick a football or take the baby for a walk in a buggy. Don't forget to stop off at the playground.β
βA hidden gem just outside the city! We recently visited Braidburn Valley Park and absolutely loved it. Itβs a peaceful, green space with a beautifully flowing small canal that adds to the calm atmosphere. Just 15β20 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, itβs a perfect spot to relax, clear your mind, and enjoy some fresh air away from the hustle and bustle. Ideal for a quiet walk or a short escape into nature. Highly recommended!β
βBeautiful walks, cafe, with plenty seating outside too, in lovely open courtyard. Good quality food in the restaurant. Excellent shopping, and scenery wonderful.β
βReasonable price for UK standards. Really lovely location with not just the church (good enough reason in itself, about 150 m away!) but a lovely ruined castle, gorgeous walks along the river in a lovely forest. Facilities good and clean.β
βAmazing shopping experience! My bike kept getting flat tyres and I was lost choosing something better. Mackenzie took me through all my options and sorted me out! Back in the road in no time with no more worries. Thank you so much Mackenzie.β
βHuge Park, there are two Playgrounds, one small and one is big. The small playground is few secs away from Primary School. The Pilrig house is awesome, I find it very special. It can gets rly crowded during summer. Itβs also very good for dog walkers (just pls clean up after ur dog). This park is just 2-3mins away from Pilrig Church in Leith Walk. Iβd also say itβs quite maintained. I recommend this park to everyone , single, couple esp for family walking. I used to walk here almost everyday and one round is like 1k steps, walking 5 rounds can make you 5k steps. There are two bus stops near this Park, so to come here is not a problem as itβs very convenient. Coming here by car is not a problem too as itβs free on-street Parking.β
βVisited tonight to see the Wizard of Oz absolutely fabulous show what a great night the kids, 2 and 3, had a ball it was their first time at anything like this and the team were amazing. The venue is beautiful staff super helpful and friendly and the restraunt food was delicious well worth a visitβ
βreally nice. specially this time of the year. I go there quiet regular. the river is beautifulβ
βCraig at Specsavers, Gyle was professional, helpful and friendly when arranging for my hearing aids to be sent away for repair, and also ensured I had a temporary set to use over the holiday period.β
βExcellent reception! Although we arrived early, they welcomed us warmly and prepared the rooms for us. They even upgraded our room, which was a wonderful surprise. The hotelβs location is truly fantastic, and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A special thanks to the young lady who received us β her hospitality was outstanding. Fahad & Mahaβ
βSeveral really good walks and trails for all ages and fitness levels. There is a visitor center that sells ice cream and juice to keep you going on your walk. There's also a play park area with dedicated areas for BBQ.β
βWhen doggie and myself walked into the shop and started browsing we were welcomed by Godfrey. He had us on a fitting machine which measures body shape and alignment. We tried recommended bed, and the next 8 beds nearby. Then I found out about the display models very marked down. Tried the medium topped mattress and found the one! So comfy but soft on broken ribs. He listened to our plight of potentially sleeping on the carpet, offered a free airbed pillows and mattress protector. All while serving 2 other lots of customers. Very happy with Godfrey at Dreams.β
βAbsolutely love this park! The climbing frame is enclosed so feels a bit more safe for wee ones (mines is 3 years old and adventurous). Mind your timings with young children though cos when the local primary school bell goes, the park fills with older kids quickly, who run riot with no consideration for the younger kids. I don't have an issue with older kids play, it's just an observation. The wee coffee van is amazing but I've no idea what it's schedule is so it's a hit or miss if it's there. I do wish there were public toilets cos it's easy to spend hours at this park.β
βEasy to get to from the West. Great pies on sale, staff and members are extremely friendly and helpful. Nice wee place to watch your football.β
β5 stars all around. Lovely restaurant inside. The lady was so very friendly and kind, and the food was delicious and came quickly. Very good prices. Two very happy customers!β
βPark with childrens play area free parking and toilets. Theres a scenic coastal walk to Dysart and easy access to imposing Ravenscraig Castleβ
βPark has had a major uplift. Kids love the swing park. Dog walkers love it as it's all flat. The coffee cabin a must for a coffee they even have water bowls for the dogs. If owner gets their way a lot more to come. Looking forward to next walkβ
βA lovely play park to keep most ages entertained. It has an accessible swing, although this does require the user to be able to be lifted into the swing, with optional chest plate for security. The additional advantage being a Scottish water tap at the entrance.β
βBeautiful green place with the Water of Leith path and river. Great for any kind of activity as well as for relaxation and pleasure; dog walking, bird watching etc. Lovely. Absolutely lovely!β
βSmall nice park. Playground for children. Large trees for shadow.β
βThis place is brilliant. Lots of parking spaces. The toilet is closed now. The Loch is beautiful to walk round lots of ducks & swans to feed. It can be easilu walked round in 20mins with a slow dog. There are also woody walks you can do as lots of foresty areas. The Playpark is just around the corner and it's a good one! Lots for all kids ages to do definately reccommend here.β
βNice place for a stroll with kids or dog,see squirrels, ducks, swans and plenty other wildlife.Small cafe which is good.β
βGreat little place. Kept us amused all day. Stopped and went across the road for the cavery then came back for the animal feeding and holding. Would go back in a flash. Staff are great. Kev is a character. Great you can come and go all day with your stamp. Highly recommend a visit here.β
βWeβve been to the Park Bistro twice now and itβs been fantastic each time, the food is great quality and all of our dishes have been delicious (*except for the Lemon Meringue Pie which was disappointing with solid meringue and soggy base but I have very high standards as my Mum makes the BEST) The Biscoff Toffee Waffle is epic! The Pork Tenderloin was incredible and everyone enjoyed it both times weβve been. The staff are friendly even when itβs busy, memorable place.β
βThis is the second time I have stayed here. This visit however, was nicer. I was met with very friendly staff as always upon checking in. We were then told that we had been selected for a free upgrade to a suite and was given free parking as well as a welcome drink each and some lovely shortbread for our room. This was such a lovely surprise and made our trip even more special. The hotel is always lovely and clean, not to mention very handy for the tram. I will most definitely come back here. The staff are an asset to the place. You are made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. Highly recommend this hotel.β
βThis place is incredible!! The food was reasonable for a high end product and atmosphere. From the moment we entered the staff were very kind and helpful, asking us about our day, and offering to take our coats. Moments like this made it better than better. The food and drinks menus were both detailed which made it perfect for an overthinker like myself for picking the perfect drink. The food menu was the same, and described exactly what you will get. My partner and I shared the chateaubriand which was a perfect serving for us (with the extra sides) the beef melted in our mouths, and the sauces were amazing, Iβd especially recommend the Malbec and bone marrow jus, it was an excellent extra for the beef. Sides were perfect, the broccoli tasted Smokey and cooked perfectly to be soft with a small crunch, the spinach was refreshing and lemony, the mushrooms were peppery and were a larger portion, and the chips were lovely and crispy with a fluffy inside. The staff were great, so attentive and helpful with our questions and chit chat. I couldnβt recommend this place more, for a high end meal with a better price tag than some steakhouses. Amazing!!β
βGood fun for a night out and great that you can take a drink around with you. Several members of our group couldn't make it last minute but the staff were kind enough to give us vouchers to redeem the games at a later date so we didn't lose money (valid for 12 months). Both Amie and Cerys had a lovely manner about them and were so helpful. We had a fun time.β
βFantastic park to let your four legged friend run around. Our dog loves it.β
βThe staff was superb helping us out, gave great recommendations. Short walk to the bust stop making it easy to get to downtown Edinburgh. We have camped all over the United States and now have 10 days in Scotland under our belt. This facility has the best and cleanest bathrooms/showers anywhere.β
βTheir system works well. Order on line with good help available via the reviews which Iβve always found accurate. Plus the product Q&A is pretty helpful. Collecting from the store is straight forwarded with the staff at the Murryfield branch in Edinburgh very helpful. As Iβve done a number of projects this year this review is based on ordering well over fifty separate items and making far too many visits to collect.β
