Dentist was polite and friendly as was the support staff. The dentist was keen to take a negative of my teeth and to clean them. (Both are not covered by the NHS so you are charged extra for that dentil service) I opted to have teeth cleaned. Teeth that had holes in them; the dentist did not want to fill them for some reason but wanted to pull them and probably replace with implants costing a lot of money; (I got the feeling this is the preferred option as it brings in more money to the dentist). The dentist then told me to goto the pharmacy if I wanted and fill them in myself with filler bought from there. For cleaning my teeth she charged me £11.68 nothing else was done other than looking over my teeth. Had to inform the dentist of my abscess which she then read my notes to confirm. She then suggested pulling that tooth as well. I ask her just to leave it as it was not bothering me. That ended the session.
I recently had a dental implant carried out by Savitha and her team. At the outset the whole process was described including clear costs associated with each stage. The procedures themselves were clearly explained any any questions I had were answered. I had little/no discomfort after any stages and didn't require pain relief afterwards. Very happy with the implant which settled quickly. It was great being able to access this locally which made it very convenient as a few appointments were required. Very pleased with the whole experience and would recommend.
I have been attending SR Dental over the past 5 years and only wished to leave an honest review based on the top service I have received. Initially, you will be welcomed by the practice manager, Gayle, who is always 'on the ball' and super swift at responding to any emails and addressing any concerns you may have prior to making an appointment. I have been attended to by the very calm Dr Raman over the past 5 years. She is very kind, always remembers you as a 'person' and not simply a 'mouth full of teeth' and that makes you feel valued. You're far more than a number. I was given two 'emergency/squeezed in' appointments this week due to breaking a front tooth. Dr Raman saw me on my first appointment but kindly introduced me to Dr Harris Naseer who saw me for my second appointment the following day. He is also blessed with tremendous serenity (plus a sweet sense of humour!). So, if you're a nervous soul, this dental practice is for you. They care about you and your teeth and they'll do their utmost to give you back the smile you crave. An aside: Dalkeith has two decent size car parks - one free and the other is free for the first hour. More so, there's parking available almost on their doorstep.
One of the best and fastest care I have had. The staff was very polite and made me feel welcomed. Dr Savitha was very compassionate, professional and made me feel very safe. She handled the procedure so smoothly and made it so pain free. Without any doubt she the best dentist in edinburgh.
I strongly recommend this place for any of your dental worries and concerns. I had a root treatment done here by Dr.Savitha and she was very professional and compassionate in her work. The team was very supportive in accommodating my appointments and follow ups in a timely manner. People there even work out of hours sometimes in case of any urgent care that we need. My problem which had been persisting for a very long time has finally been resolved after visiting this place.I thank Dr. Savitha and her team for making my tooth better.
