Always get a consistently good curry from here and not as over priced as other local curry houses. However the Rice is way too expensive in my opinion. Delivery is usually pretty good too.
AVOID! 0/5 STARS. Absolutely disgraceful service. Wouldn’t give it 1 star. Waited 2 hours on an a delivery, called the shop to ask where my deliver was, only to find out it wasn’t even cooked yet! Shocking customer service, avoid if you want to wait an entire evening on your meal.

So happy that this is our local takeaway. Better Indian food here than most places around. My partner and I are vegetarian and were spoilt for choice. Most recently we ordered 2 curries that were well balanced and tasted delicious.
Love their meals every time. The flavours are always well balanced and the ingredients taste fresh. My partner and I are both vegetarian and there's lots of tasty options. Spice of Penicuik is one of our top take outs in town.
Ordered lamb jalfrezi, my partner also ordered a lamb dish, on the plus side the sauce was exceptional, best I've had for a long time, downside was the lamb was inedible, extremely chewy, unable to even cut some pieces with a knife, we ended up having to chuck the lamb away. I phoned to make them aware, whilst the guy on the phone was polite and apologised, his answer was, we don't usually get complaints about our food, well you did tonight, I'd suggest trying the lamb before selling it, this happened the 1st time I tried here, I thought it was a one off, and tried it again, same issue so won't be back, shame cos the sauce really is very, very good.
First time ordering a meal here, when passing through Penicuik. Meal was lovely, chicken tender, naan and poppadoms great too. Service by the young counter assistant was excellent. We stay about 15 miles away, but will definitely be back for more. Very reasonable prices compared to what we pay at our usual Indian.
