   Friendly staff. Food was ok. Pizza tasted more american style than Italian. Thick and hard pizza base. And you should state in the menu that margarita pizza has onions in it. Nobody puts onions on Italian margarita pizza. My wife doesn't eat onions so she had to remove them all small chopped onions from tomato sauce. Lamb was cooked perfectly. Calamari rings were soaked in oil, needs to be drained on paper towel straight after cooking.

   Stopped for drinks and a snack. Excellent service, delicious wine and olives. They have a few tables outside so you can enjoy your food/drinks there if weather's nice. I'd definitely come back.

   Visited Dantes for a birthday meal with a couple of friends. Absolutely cannot fault anything. The food was amazing and the staff are very friendly. The sticky toffee pudding was unreal - the best one I've ever had. All three of us enjoyed every course we had. Great value for money too

   Fantastic birthday lunch today! Staff were amazing, very good service and friendly, even took some family pictures for us. We all went for the lunch menu which was all cooked fresh and tasted beautiful( £12 ) Starter and a main, this was great value from this Family Italian in Colinton. Great soup of the day and also specials sounded Like we need to return soon. Thanks to Dante’s for making this a great meal.

   Came here for the first time on a Saturday evening and was really impressed. Servers took our jackets at the door and showed us to our table. The restaurant had a lovely busy atmosphere and service was great. Really good cocktails and the food was amazing! Great little place to have dinner.

   Dantes is brilliant. I've been going there since it opened, and while the menu's gone through many iterations, it has always hewn to the spirit of refined Italian classics. The calamari, duck, and veal steak are particular highlights. But, you really can't go wrong. To murder a cliché, Sandro and the Team will make you feel at home from the moment you step in.

   Dantes is a delightful Italian restaurant in the historic village of Colinton. The layout is cozy and the decor bright. The menu is relatively small but all dishes are excellent. A prawn based starter was mistakingly brought to our table instead of squid, which is what we had ordered. When it was realised the prawn dish was not for another table it was kindly offered to us at no charge - top class! Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

   We tried Dante’s for the first time two weeks ago. This place is on the pricey side but the food was delicious. We had a great selection of starters and mains and we all loved our food. The staff is very professional, friendly and gives a real Italian vibes at the place. We paid about £120 for 4 including starters, mains and coffees. We’ll come back.
