   We visited Corner Curry House and had a wonderful evening from start to finish. We began with papadom and chutney, which were crisp, fresh, and full of flavour. For starters, we went for the mix pakora and chicken pakora — both served hot, well-seasoned, and perfectly fried. The chicken pakora was especially tender with a satisfying crunch. For our mains, we enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and lamb bhuna. The tikka masala was rich, creamy, and comforting, while the lamb bhuna had tender pieces of lamb in a deep, aromatic sauce. We paired these with pilau rice and paratha bread, both of which were excellent — fluffy rice and a soft, warm paratha ideal for scooping up the curries. Although the restaurant has a bring-your-own policy, which allowed my wife and me to enjoy our own bottle of wine, they also offered a good range of soft drinks. We tried a J2O and a Fanta, both refreshing and nicely chilled. For dessert, we tried the gulab jamun, which was warm, sweet, and beautifully soft — a perfect finish to the meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Extra tip: Corner Curry House also offers delivery and collection, perfect if you want to enjoy their food at home.

   As I understand it’s new place hence the 2 stars as I don’t want to be too harsh, but this restaurant needs a lot of improvement. I ordered garlic chilli lamb, the lamb was rock hard and dry I’m not sure how it’s cooked but it was not tender at all also had a sweetness to it which was not expected and no oil separation on the curry which was disappointing. The chips were also dry and not fresh to order. Butter chicken tasteless and watery and not reduced down. We also order two garlic naans which was missing from the order so went back to collect and gave plain naans? The naan was actually cooked perfectly. I have come to understand a lot (not all) of the reviews on this page are AI generated and not truthful. It’s a shame as was really looking forward to try, hopefully this comes across as constructive criticism and not a negative review as would be great to find a good Indian restaurant outside of Birmingham!

The standouts were the butter chicken—rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned—and the biryani, which was fragrant, beautifully spiced, and served with generous portions. The naan was soft and fresh, perfect for soaking up all the delicious sauces. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were happy to make recommendations based on our preferences. The ambiance was cozy and vibrant, with tasteful décor that added to the dining experience.

   I tried this new Indian restaurant and really loved it. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and tasted truly authentic. The spices were perfect, not too strong, and every dish felt homemade. I’m happy to have this spot in the neighborhood and will definitely come back again!

   Not been for a few years so had hoped it was better. Love pakora so ordered 4 portions for 3. Horrible and greasy and I’ve never had flat pakora- resemble more like onion bajee but had an awful taste. I checked they came with a yoghurt sauce but only one of the 4pots was yoghurt- the other three was some thick brown goo. Most of them went in the bin. Their chicken pathia was ok but for some strange reason we were given 3/4 of a poppadom??? They still insist on cash which is crazy- not only that he expected us to have the correct money as he had to scrape together change. £36.45. Ridiculous that they won’t take cards. Wouldn’t like to sit in for a meal with a sizeable bill. Hence there was nobody eating in. Won’t be back.
