“We had an absolutely lovely meal here. Food was gorgeous but it was our waiter Stefanos who really made our night! He was so lovely and told us lots of funny stories. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh!”
“A truly amazing experience. Every bite is a medley of flavours, and the service is attentive and informative. Every dish had a backstory that conjured pictures of their places of origin. The chef even came out to deliver one of the courses, clearly delighted in seeing customers' reactions to his inventive creations. We had the taster menu, and there was plenty of variety for both of us. (The staff was more than happy to make vegan substitutions for my wife.) Can't think of a single complaint; already looking forward to our next visit!”
“Fabulous food and fantastic staff. Enjoyed a lovely meal in this cosy restaurant. Super tender meat and really good breads. Nice flavours to the sauces, not the usual bland mix or dominant high spices. Only minor retraction from an otherwise lovely meal was that it was quite cold in November where we were sat. But don't let that put you off, just wear a jumper!”
“The starters are very delicious, the food was scrumptious, although the chicken biriyani was okayish here, could have been better. The mango lassi is a must try!”
“Aloo Bindhi is so good. The best one I have had in all the time I have tried it. I had them go low on the spice level so it still had a little kick to it. Portions were pretty good for the price. I would have liked a smaller portion and have it come with a rice or naan on the side so I didn’t have to order rice separately but this and an order of rice would be able to feed two people. Would go get food there again if I am in that area of the world once more.”
“I have ordered three times from them and I guess this is the best time to write a review for Curry Heights in Inverkeithing. The food is delicious, portions are great and prices are reasonable. What impressed me is the consistency, three in a row and all time food was spot on!”
“Really enjoyed our visit to The Pakora Bar! Great haggis pakora and then we moved on to palak paneer and Punjabi lamb curry which were also fabulous. After a day of pub crawling, it genuinely was such a pleasure to stop by this restaurant with lovely staff, a great mango lassi beer suggestion that we also really loved and flavour for days! Can’t recommend them enough :)”
“They do such reasonable price and good quality foods. Especially the falafel is very moist inside and crispy outside. And the baklava is also very flavorful. The staff is pretty nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!”
“We were staying in a b&b close to this restaurant and popped in. So glad we did. It was beautiful food. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was clean and well presented. Me and my mum just ordered a main and a drink. It was gorgeous food. The tikka tandoori came with a garlic naan so there was no need to order one. There was plenty for both of us. I would recommend a meal here”
“We just had a lovely birthday dinner here at Cutting Chaii! The food was sensational (I think my favourites were the secret bomb and the Dal makhani) and with tonnes of vegetarian options which we absolutely loved. We were served by Lalita, along with the rest of the wonderful team, who gave us incredible service and even brought out dessert for us at the end of the meal. We will absolutely come in again, and will continue to order takeaway in the near future! Thank you, Cutting Chaii!”
“Delicious linguine with pistachio pesto pancetta and proper cappuccino. Can taste the quality incidents and pasta was al dante. Friendly people. Quick service. Would be back again soon.”
“The food has so good that it transported me to the place of origin. And the best part has been the treatment that we received, which has been phenomenal. Thanks a lot!”
“We went to hike Arthur Hill and while coming back, we chose the quickest way to Princess Streat. At the Meadowbank House bus station, we have this little treasure. When you walk into this place, you feel welcome. You feel special. You feel good. The owner welcomes you with a smile and lovely food recommendation. Even offered us free tea to sip while the food was being prepared. Very generous. Scotland weather and tea are meant to be best friends. I've ordered their momos with hot sauce and a chicken chowmin. Both turned out great and I am feeling so good heading into the rain. Thank you for the great meal and hospitality!”
“I was in the restaurant on the 2nd of October 2025 with my wife and in-laws for the food and wine tasting night, and what an unparalleled success. The whole place was buzzing, the staff were outstanding and polite as always and the food was nothing short of sublime. I've been to Delhi Winters many times, and have yet to have an OK meal, it's always been a step above, but the whole structure of this specific evening was an absolute triumph. The wines were expertly chosen to compliment each course, and the champagne for a welcome drink was a touch of class. I cannot wait for future events, as I truly feel, that introducing these nights will escalate Delhi Winters to the next level. The Thalis, (veg and non veg), were a master stroke as it introduced each diner to a dish that they may not necessarily have ordered. I for one would not normally go for a veg style starter, especially mushrooms, but the mushroom paté in pastry, (that would rival a greggs steak bake), I would eat that until the cows came home, sent back out and then wait on them coming home again. The Prawn curry, the lamb chops, the potato and cauliflower dish, butter chicken, Tikka paneer, cabbage and peas (who knew?) then the desserts, OMG, carrot cake to die for and the chocolate fondant with ice cream and pistachio drizzle was a perfect way to end a perfect evening. Everything was absolutely exquisite. Bravo to every one, and THANK YOU.”
“We had a very lovely visit here tonight. The restaurant is lovely inside and smells delicious. Rukhma served us mostly, who has great customer service and is very friendly alongside her colleagues. We had starters and a main and the food was excellent. Very impressed and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.”
“Hungry? Vegetarian? Potoba is the Best Indian Pure Vegetarian food place for you then. Not so expensive, best authentic street food taste. Taste of India in Scotland in Edinburgh.”
“Flavorful dishes, and good portions. Had the Gurkhali fish curry which was really awesome. Chicken thali was good option too.”
“Amazing atmosphere. Food was great, loved the way of presenting or the way of serving the food, which makes you go ahead and try the food. Service was not that good, but food makes up for that.”
“The food here is absolutely outstanding! Chicken Biryani – perfectly cooked, aromatic, and packed with flavor. Mutton Biryani – rich, tender, and authentic, just like back home. Chicken Mandi – smoky, juicy, and full of depth, easily one of the best in Edinburgh. The quality, taste, and portion sizes are excellent. Service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. A must-visit for biryani and mandi lovers – highly recommend!”
“Great burgers, nice and filling, fantastic chips, a little on the expensive side but thats to be expected and its fair, great spot if your struggling to decide. 100% vegan place”
“Excellent food & service for our annual Christmas night out. Cannot recommend enough! thank you!!”
“Absolutely beautiful food, I had the chicken tikka kahari, outstanding, will definitely return.”
“Our 2nd visit to Edinburgh and our 2nd visit to this gem of a curry house! My wife had the chicken jalfrezi with pilau rice, whilst I had a hot chicken vindaloo with rice also. Our naans were freshly cooked and piping hot. Staff were attentive, friendly and chatty. When we return to the city, we will definitely be making a point of coming back here, highly recommended.”
“We ate Rice, Lamb curry and vegan haggis. All the foods taste delicious. Honestly I felt the taste of my homeland. We really liked the food. Staff are friendly and the restaurant has a cozy environment. For authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine, I will recommend this restaurant.”
“Had amazing dinner at The Cove two days in a row during our stay at Edinburgh. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express City West and given that we had our parents on the trip, we were searching for a good Indian food place this part of town. We saw that The Cove is roughly half a mile away and decided to try it out. What strikes you first about The Cove is the nice and warm nature of the staff. Almost all of them hail from Bangladesh and given our family's connections to that part of Bengal, we bonded immediately. We were initially a bit skeptical about the food but it turned out to be a delicious meal and everyone on the table - my father (who prefers non vegetarian), myself (who prefers egg based meals) and my wife and son (who prefer vegan) liked whatever was served. The atmosphere was nice, warm and cosy and a brilliant setting as the light faded outside at the end of the day! To all Indians and Bangladeshis who visit Edinburgh, we would recommend The Cove. Of course, when we visit again, we will come back for sure!”
“First time eating here and we sat in 8 off us, the place is small but dont left that spoil ur choice The food was fantastic really nice & beautifully presented ,service great and very professional We were all pleasantly surprised and we would all go back for more. If anything they need more seating but dont let that spoil ur choice”
“We order from here a lot. Fantastic place with an excellent menu and very tasty, fresh food. Would highly recommend!”
“We've had a few great meals from the Khukuri. Very friendly, well organised and a great selection of dishes. The food is great and has been very reliable for us. The Nepalese dishes are a nice change from the standard Indian ones. Their timing is accurate.”
“We visited Edinburgh last week, this place was recommended by my Indian colleague, and we went there twice! Every dish was just fantastic, love the idea of tapas - that gave us the chance to try different varieties! And Good service. Wish we had such a place in the town I am living now…”
“Warm welcome, attentive service, delicious freshly made Indian food, the Thai seabass was very much enjoyed by the table next to us, so seems to be a great mix of authentic dishes for a dinner when not everyone fancis a curry. We loved our vegetable pakoras and the Sag Gust (tender lamb with spinach). Recommended!”
