Really enjoyed our visit to The Pakora Bar! Great haggis pakora and then we moved on to palak paneer and Punjabi lamb curry which were also fabulous. After a day of pub crawling, it genuinely was such a pleasure to stop by this restaurant with lovely staff, a great mango lassi beer suggestion that we also really loved and flavour for days! Can’t recommend them enough :)

Loved the vibe at Pakora Bar really nice ambiance! The chicken pakora was delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. Chicken curry also good Slightly disappointed with the breads though, since they seemed frozen and not fresh.paranthas are very tight If they fix that, it would be perfect. Still a great place to go for good Indian food!

Family run gem in Edinburgh. Personality in every detail. You must try the chakk de phatte beer. Pakoras were the best I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to try more of the street food bites too - the lamb samosas and aloo tiki chaat were so good. Also deffo make sure you try the pakora sauces on the side - we had mango chilli and green chilli. Music inside also v good. Ad - we were kindly invited along to try out but my review is honest and my own.

The Pakora Bar is a must visit in Edinburgh. It’s a family run restaurant and their passion for serving authentic and delicious food really shines through! We had Golgappa to start which was really fun and interactive followed by some pakora (chicken, cauliflower and haggis) which were all really tasty with a crispy batter. For mains we shared the Lamb curry (best we have ever tasted), Dahl and rice with homemade pitta’s. We finished off with some Chai too. They also have their own Mango Lassi beer which my partner had and said it was delicious. Highly recommend a visit.

6 star material. Good atmosphere, great food and outstanding service. Halal chicken and lamb. An authentic Indian restaurant with ample seating and even a private banquet area upstairs. This place is family run and all food is handmade. Which you can clearly see and definitely reflects in the service and food. All staff are very friendly, chatting and conversing. They take great pride in their establishment and food. Good few options from curries to pakora and even samosa chats. I took my servers suggestion and tried the chicken pakora lunch wrap with a garlic mayo sauce. I did upgrade my fries to have cheese. Such fast service that my food was already out within minutes. I thought it was so quick but another server was concerned I had maybe been forgotten and no one had taken my order. Telling you great service. Was really good food and definitely coming back to try the other dishes they have offer.

The best Indian food I've had in Edinburgh in the 5 years I've lived here. The lamb samosa were so amazing, we had to order a second portion. The lamb curry was excellent - the meat is slow cooked and has so much flavour. The food is also priced really well. The service was super quick, attentive and so helpful with picking dishes. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Amazing food! My family and I had dinner here and it was an excellent experience. The service was top notch - super attentive, walked us through the menu, patient, and very helpful. The food was so so so tasty. Highly recommend if you’re staying on the Royal Mile.
