Walked into the Spice House of the street and ordered what I wanted, They accept money or card for payment. Didn't have to wait ages for meal to go. Nice helpful staff also cater for your dietary requirements. It wasn't that late so only a few people eating in, definitely will be back.
Lovely restaurant, we just came by and that’s an enjoyable experience.
We fancied something different for a change for dinner. First time we have used Spice House for a takeaway. We were not disappointed thats for sure. We ordered Duck spring rolls for a starter then Special Pad Thai Prawns and a Spice House Special Biryani. There was so much food the tops of the containers were bulging. All I can say is wow, more than enough duck spring rolls, the Biryani is the best I have had in a long time , packed with lots of tasty meat, my wife commented on the plentiful amount of prawns that was in her Pad Thai Prawns. We will definitely use again and highly recommend.
We order from here a lot. Fantastic place with an excellent menu and very tasty, fresh food. Would highly recommend!

1st carry out from the Spice House having relocated close by. Food was very tasty, great service and really good value. Top Indian in Penicuik. Definitely the new local.
To date we have been here 3 times. Their main turnover is carry out meals. They also have a small nice and clean dining area. With being mainly a carry out business I reckon all their meals are based on 3 base curry sauces. The curries my friends and I have ordered are good but not exactly the correct flavour. For example: week 1 a Buna tasted of a deep smokie flavour which tasted pleasant enough but a Buna does not have this flavour characteristics. Week 3: I ordered a Celyon which was a different colour and taste from a Celyon I ordered the week before. This Celyon tasted like the Buna from week 1 but a little hotter. I could not detect the lemon and coconut flavour that a Celyon should have. The pakuras were excellent as were the side dishes. Portion sizes were good and the the service was friendly. I will return. After a few return visits (Jan 2019) my friends and myself have given up with the variation in quality of the food. We now go into town for something half decent.
Fantastic takeaway delivery. First time I’ve used Spice House & won’t by my last. Set meal for 1; Chicken Pathia & Garlic Nan. Chicken; succulent & there was plenty of it, sauce was just the right amount of sweetness & spice. Nan; light, crisp & fluffy - perfect! Price; amazing value for a superb, quality meal.
