I got the chicken curry and paneer pakora and it was so warm and delicious. the owner is super friendly and sweet! i definitely recommend.
Very nice Indian food with a few twist. The staff was very friendly. The decor could use some work. Bring your appetite for the breads! BYOB. The staff will direct you to a place to get booz very close.
We had a wonderful meal here for our penultimate dinner in Edinburgh before we head back to NYC. The owner is fantastic. I truly enjoyed our conversation. Her vibes, ambiance and cooking left me feeling joyous.
What a great start to our journey in Edinburgh! The boss lady was most welcoming and cheerful, making us feel like we’ve known her for years. The interior of the restaurant, decorated with many motivational quotes, made our visit even more enjoyable. Even more impressive was the food: the chicken curry is not to be missed, and the plain naan comes in generous portions as well.

Nice restaurant. It’s not a high end dining place but a cosy eat out run a nice lady. The cost is not less as compared to other restaurants.
What an amazing place! My boyfriend and I read the reviews for Nutan’s and we couldn’t resist going. The food was spectacular and priced extremely reasonably (you could definitely spend around £10 per person and get a flavourful and filling meal). The owner was incredibly welcoming and catered to any dietary requirements and spice levels. We both absolutely loved it and agreed that it was a restaurant we need to come back to every time we visit Edinburgh. Couldn’t recommend more. Thank you for a lovely evening.
We are so lucky came across this 4.7 Star Indian Restaurant our first day in Edinburgh! We enjoyed so much the food and the very interesting chat with NUTAN and her other fans in the lovely property. We have tried korma, Malaysian and Dhali the mixed plate with a creamy vanilla ice cream. NUTAN was very happy seeing our empty plates. We promised we will be back when we return from the tour of highlands.
Nutan is the essence of hospitality and good food! I feel very lucky to have this place close to home and any occasion is good to stop for a meal or take dinner home. She always has good advice for you and is keen to get you satisfied. The quality is excellent, the place is small and nice and the menu is very varied. I highly recommend the palak paneer and the chicken curry, my favorites so far. But I'll be back as soon as possible to try the rest!
