“Syriana made this fantastic buffet for our family gathering of 16. The food was superb, Every pallet was catered for. The most popular was the humous & mixed shawarma humous. Highly recommend if wanting excellent service and price.”
“I visited Fava with my colleagues for our Christmas dinner and it absolutely did not disappoint! The food was excellent with generous portions, and every dish was full of flavor. We were a large party of 21 people, and every single one of us was impressed. The staff were amazing—super friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire evening. Even with such a big group, the service was seamless and warm. Highly recommend this place for both small dinners and large gatherings. We’ll definitely be back!”
“One of the most delicious Turkish restaurants I’ve tried in Edinburgh! The staff are Turkish and truly know what they’re serving. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I really loved the food and would definitely recommend it!”
“We recently visited this restaurant, and we were very pleased with the food. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. But what truly made our experience special was the excellent service. Our waiter, Kiril, was outstanding—attentive, polite, and genuinely welcoming. He made us feel like valued guests from the moment we arrived, and it added so much warmth to our evening. We left with a wonderful impression and will definitely return.”
“Toranj Restaurant is an absolute delight! As you descend the stairs, you're greeted by a breathtaking display of vibrant flowers. The customer service is impeccable, and the food quality is outstanding. We had the pleasure of sitting in their cozy yard, adding to the overall charm of the experience. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!”
“Great family run restaurant. We liked it so much that we went back the next night. It's not fine/posh dining like many other restaurants in the area but instead just cozy, rustic warm and authentic. Highly recommend!!”
“wagamama's food taste is good but i will say it's not like the actual korean authentic tastebud. took chicken options but they gave same sauce for both of the different dishes...no change. service was really good. you can pay in wagamama app from your phone and by logging in can get free prawn crackers.”
“I ordered the mixed bbq. Meat, salad, grilled pepper, rice and sauces were all perfect. I eat middle eastern food quite often and this was among some of the best ive had.”
“Me and my friends were in Edinburgh for only 3 days and every single day we went to Hasan’s restaurant and had the best food ever. He is a really nice man and amazing to talk to! With love, the three kids you fed for 3 days”
“Best shisha in Edinburgh. Great food and shisha. Thank you Sam!”
“Not being from Dundee and for that reason wasn't familiar with Dundee's food places, we thought we would give Mazaj a try based on its reviews. It surely didn't disappoint! The mezze platter was one of the best mezze platters I've ever had. The mixed grill was full of flavours, very tasty. The decor in the restaurant was beautiful and the manager was really nice and talkative. Definitely recommend!”
“Had a wonderful experience at Khartoum Cafe. The owner was friendly, attentive and created a lovely atmosphere. The food itself was delicious: so flavourful and balanced. I especially loved the Salata Aswad. Been past this place so many times and kicking myself it’s taken me so long to go in but now I have, I will definitely be back.”
“One of those incredible, rare, finds. Service was exceptional, the vines immaculate, but the real star was the food. Easily, by far the best falafel I have ever had. Utterly recommended, and I will be back!”
“Amazing food at Seeds For The Soul. Food was fresh, tasty and just hit the spot for us! The vegan scramble was like egg!!! Loved the place and wonderful, friendly service too. Their cakes are moist, tasty, something else! (Jaffa cake slice was v indulgent)”
“What a true gem amongst so many similarly looking establishments. Just behind the Usher Hall, perfectly located for a pre-theatre bite to eat. Lovely interior full of Persian motives. Fantastic staff members, knowing what a very good customer service is without being intrusive and overwhelming. Beautifully appointed table with lovely crockery and cutlery. Food looking so delicious you can't wait to start. Everything prepared fresh from good ingredients. No GMO, emulsifiers etc. Just pure not artificially improved food full of fresh herbs, spices and organic toppings. Good wine list. Prices won't brake a bank (by latest standards). Highly recommend!”
“Excellent Turkish cuisine tasted. The lamb skewers and lamb hearts is perfectly done. Not so much about on the soups. The bread/pitas is excellent.”
“Great shawarma, fresh meat, homemade bread and sauces I love it! 10/10 Could be little bit cheaper, but I still recommend.”
“Absolutely delicious food and excellent service. Ingredients were fresh and of great quality. Amazing value for money, really filling and nutritious. Was nice to get a takeaway wrap to eat in the nearby park as there wasn't much space inside.”
“They do such reasonable price and good quality foods. Especially the falafel is very moist inside and crispy outside. And the baklava is also very flavorful. The staff is pretty nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!”
“Great Pizza in the heart of Edinburgh. We were sceptical at first if we can get a good Italian pizza in the north of GB. But it was sooo damn good. If you like good Italian pizza try this one!”
“Lahcen was absolutely amazing, served me both times I went. Very helpful and kind. I definitely recommend trying Sofia's out, the food is delicious and the hospitality is 5*”
“Really nice Pakistani/Indian food with lovely service and great portions; Reasonably priced. Cafe is available upstairs too. Would definitely return and recommend”
“My first time trying, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really appreciate that Edinburgh provides diversity in culture and cuisine and I was pleased and impressed by the Egyptian food from this place.Highly recommend it.”
“Best meal i have had in a long time. It was so delicious and very good value for money Could not eat it all! Atmosphere felt like you were in a restaurant abroad and staff were so lovely. Relaxed and cosy place. We will be back soon.”
“Wonderful - a must visit, must see, must eat, if you are in Lieth. Bagel was awesome with an egg cooked in the middle, so many seasames too, and the apple tea was so delicate and delicous like eating crisp red apples.”
“We had the smoked salmon and avocado toasties, full brekky, kids pancakes and chipotle chicken panini. Every dish was excellent. My 9 year had the full brekky and she enjoyed every item on it, not a single item she didn’t like. She declared this as the best breakfast she had in Scotland. Pancakes were browned to perfection and fluffy inside. Smoked salmon toastie and the chicken panini were excellent too.”
“I am upset that we've been to Edinburgh several times and just found this restaurant! We did the Chef Special and could not have been happier. The cold and hot starters were excellent, but the main course was spectacular. This will definitely be on our repeat list when we come back. Way more food than we could eat.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed the meal here. It was much better than expected and one of the best, if not the best, meal I had in Edinburgh and I tried almost all of the really popular eating spots in Edinburgh based on reviews. The restaurant was empty which was surprising when we got there. I put a down payment for a large group which was refunded when I got there. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend visiting here if you’re into this type of cuisine and despite it being a bit of a walk from the most touristy area of Edinburgh. Prices were also reasonable.”
“Great food and nice hosts! Very friendly, attentive and interested in their clients. The atmosphere is really relaxed and it's very good that restaurant and Shisha Bar are strictly separated from each other.”
“Been coming here for years and it has never once disappointed. It is inexplicably often pretty quiet, but don't let that deceive you - the food is incredible, and the owner is a lovely guy. They say you can tell when someone loved making the food they serve you, and that sums this place us to a T.”
