“Tried this place after seeing a long wait at another nearby Indian restaurant. Boy am I glad we ended up here. The assorted kebab was moist and flavorful and the peshwari naan was AMAZING. Palok pair and chicken Tika were also very good. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was a little slow to come out but WELL worth the small wait.”

“I and a few friends visited Kasbah Takeaway a couple of times last two weeks. It deserves the 5 star rating for many reasons including how friendly the staff was, large portion of the food, very reasonable price for the quality and quantity provided, clean place although there are not a lot of tables because I believe they do more take away. We mainly tried several dishes such as kabsah, karahi, more and we have also taken away a few delicious dishes to ho but will try other things next time. I highly recommend this restaurant for a visit.”

“I've been recommended this establishment for ages now and decided to give it a visit and have to say I wasn't disappointed. Prices were quite good compared to other takeaways in the area. I ordered the Vindaloo and it was a right 'Toilet Paper In The Freezer' job. It tasted like the classic curry of days gone by which is rarely seen in restaurants today. Curry had a delicious smokey taste which reminded me of smoked Naga chillies and the onion rice was a lovely accomplice to set the meal off. I will try this place again to make sure it wasn't a one off.”

“i have ordered here so many times since 2019 that the staff members seem to sometimes recognise me - the food is delicious, portions generous, prepared quickly. i wouldn't order takeout anywhere else in edinburgh because ruchi's is always consistent. ONCE (out of many times) they missed out one of the curries (we ordered for 6), and when they sent the order again they included free vegetable pakoras. cannot say a bad word about this place, amazing stuff!! :)”

“We were in Edinburgh for a few days, staying at the Caravan site and decided to have a takeaway. We picked up a menu for Bangla kitchen, ordered online, and thankfully they delivered to the campsite. Delivery took over an hour, against an estimate of 50 minutes. Starters were Aloo chops, these were like vegetable fritters, served with a mix of dips and salad. My wife had green herb lamb and I had green Bengal gosht and both of them blew us away. Mine was extremely hot, but the menu warned us of that. 'hot and spicy.' Both curries had a mix of flavours and were well seasoned. We also had a garlic naan, which was again very well done, not huge, but we had more than enough to eat anyway. A very positive experience overall, and one we are likely to repeat, next time we are back at Cramond.”

I couldn't recommend this place enough. £9.50 for chicken tikka masala and rice is a fair price considering the great flavorful and good portion size. Our waiter was very helpful and gave great guidance on what to order. We first came across Shamoli on our visit to Edinburgh a year ago. We made sure to make time for it again. “Always ordsr from here. Staff are very plesant , Food is amazing.best kebabs ive had. Best murgh masla Garlic breads. Tikka , kormas etc. Everything i try has been great and freshly prepared . Worth the wait if walking in or if you dont want to wait order for pick up. How there isnt ques out the door is beyond me. Tried various places in edinburgh and lothians that have won awards etc bombay lounge dalkeith, ithias etc etc and they dont taste as good as food from here”

“I’ve been ordering from HUI for years. The reason because food is excellent so is the service. They go an extra mile to make sure the customer is satisfied. The portions are good size and ingredients are fresh and tasty. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Cannot recommend this place enough! I no longer live in Edinburgh but still make an effort to get my food from them to take home because they are worth it!”

“I use the takeaway all the time now and have for last 3 years. The food is piping hot. I don't know how they do it. The staff are lovely especially the young woman who delivers. I trust her enough to shout come in, we have a wee chat. It's also very clean.”
