Although it was fairly quiet when we arrived, it did nothing to dampen the atmosphere. The restaurant still felt warm and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. The food was excellent, full of flavour, clearly freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. Each dish felt thoughtfully made, and the quality really stood out. The staff were great: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing, which really added to the experience. A great spot for a laid back but high quality meal, and somewhere I’d happily return to, busy or not.

We needed a change of pace , a spicy change. Great Indian food with just enough heat on a cold night. Great food and great staff. Our waiter was very helpful and gave great guidance on what to order. We first came across Shamoli on our visit to Edinburgh a year ago. We made sure to make time for it again. We will definitely be back.

Food was so good! Had the massaman curry and honestly, that came so close to the ones I tried in Thailand. It isn't the prettiest restaurant you've ever seen, but the food is amazing! The lady there was also really nice. These guys deserve all the love!

This was our last dinner in Edinburgh after visiting for a week and it was such a lovely and hospitable way to end our trip. The staff took great care of us, even in regards to seating us by the windows overlooking the street. The food was so delicious. We had the Butter Chicken and Chicken Karahi. We had to order a 2nd piece of garlic nan, it was so good. My mom is a picky eater and this was her favorite meal of a 2 week holiday.

Food was very decent. Lots of food. Service was accommodating and the value was excellent. Drinks were nice and the views are great. Location is good, on the royal mile. Only criticism is the lack of disabled access. It's hidden away in the first floor of an old building in the heart if Edinburgh.

Lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. The first meal I ate there was the nicest Thai meal I had in a very long time. They made me a special request that I wanted which wasn’t on the menu and recommended a sauce which was delicious. The heat was intense and so were the flavours. Lovely herbs and spices. The portion was large and I was very happy. Thank you kindly.

Nice food for a reasonable price, considering the location (by the royal mile) The lassi is a must try, the sweet nan (the coconut one) is one of my favourites too. The korma curry is always a safe choice, alongside the okra. Hope to come back sometime.

The food was so delicious and the staff was super nice. The price was just right, too. Since it was upstairs and everyone working was masked it was quiet and safe feeling in the restaurant. Indian food was delicious and we were properly full after our meal. Highly recommend!
