   Voujon, on Newington Rd (A701) is about a 15-20 minute walk down from the Royal Mile and well worth every step! The menu is a blend of Indian and Bengali; deeply flavored, richly prepared and sumptuously offered. We couldn’t try everything but what we did was outstanding and what we saw around the room looked every bit the equal. Vegetarian and vegan preparations are available. Sample menus can be proposed. Good wine and beer list with a selection of single malts for those so inclined. Table service is white linen and the staff are as attentive as need be and ready to explain any aspect of the menu. Highly recommend.

   We struggled to find an Indian restaurant that had availability and wow how lucky we're we! The service and the food was excellent, the brilliant white table cloth, the beautiful plates and then to give us a hot lemon cloth to clean our hands after our meal, well that's the type of class you like to receive in a restaurant. It was the first time we have ever been but it certainly won't be the last.

   Came here from a recommendation from our hotel and boy were they right to send us here. The ambiance and the food and the waiters were so helpful. It's always busy so if I were you maybe best to book a table ahead if you are say a party of 4 plus as we were just a couple and had no issue coming in.

   Consistently fantastic food every time we visit. The Voujon is a warm and welcoming restaurant with an intimate atmosphere. Excellent decor, spotlessly clean and offers versitility for small or large parties. For a starter, their kebabs, tandooried with sauce and salad is superb. We also love their poppadoms and pickle tray Every main we have eaten has been packed with flavour and fresh ingredients whatever our choice. And don't forget to order a nan. The Peshwari is the best I have eaten. If you can't make it into the restaurant, they also deliver the same standard of food to your door. Final thing the staff are brilliant, friendly, attentive and nothing is to much trouble.

   We were staying in a b&b close to this restaurant and popped in. So glad we did. It was beautiful food. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was clean and well presented. Me and my mum just ordered a main and a drink. It was gorgeous food. The tikka tandoori came with a garlic naan so there was no need to order one. There was plenty for both of us. I would recommend a meal here
