I had found this restaurant directly here on Google maps and decided to try it with my partner and while were not amazed, we still enjoyed the food here. Quality was decent, staff friendly, food there fast and selection good enough. However, a bit more expensive than I'd first thought as this is "tappas style" so you need to order a couple to be full. At least the suggested amount of tappa per person is generous and I think if u less hungry, one less should also suffice. The okra in coating was tasty and well pared with the dip. Also it was hot and crunchy, but somehow I'd feel it would have been better with a bit more spice kick. The curry while actually being a bit spicy and flavorful spiced, wasn't that amazing, but the chicken at least not dry. Portion sice here though was good for a tappa type. Naan was good, but not amazing and the thin crispy lentil flatbread (forgot the name sorry) also was good but not amazing. Have had better in both cases. Oh and the house chutneys are also decent, but again not as good as I expected when reading the reviews here. One thing I want to mention though is that this restaurant seems to be rather loud even when it's not peek hours so if you plan on having a quiet chat, that'll be a bit difficult. And ambient is OK, I prefer it over the trait "classic Indian" but even more modern ones are still more my taste. Overall definitely enjoyable and I like the idea of Indian tappas, especially considering the selection, but there weren't really many things that I would describe as "interesting unique", maximum the okra, hence why we got it. I think a bit more "out of the box" type of dishes would be cool for the tappas idea.

Really lovely place. We stumbled upon it on a Saturday evening when our first choice was full and we are so happy that we found this. Didn’t need a reservation and it was BYOB. The food was so good and we had 2 dishes each with 2 naans between 3 which was perfect. Would definitely return. Lots of veggie dishes too!

Quite a pleasant experience. Restaurant is refreshingly decorated with warm wall colors and Indian popular music. The lunch set got me pleasantly surprised as it is served in a Mumbai-style tiffin carrier, but the stylisticity is not beaten by the food quality. I enjoyed the lamb curry and beetroot bhaji despite the fact that they were almost lukewarm, and they could use more effort for the garlic naan, whose thin and drab texture could depress the quality of any curry dish. However if they simply improve this, and the hotness of the dishes, one’s experience of eating here will be without any flaw.

We were here to grab dinner. Amazing restaurant for delicious Indian street food. The staff were friendly, quick service. The portions are somewhat smaller but this is also mentioned in the menu card to order 2-3 dishes per person depending on your appetite. Prices are reasonable. Definitely recommend if you want to try Indian street food.

We stopped by Tuk Tuk for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent — friendly and attentive from start to finish. We shared the chaat as an appetizer, which was fresh and full of flavor, and then had Dal Makhni with garlic naan for our main course. The portion sizes were generous, and the dal was perfectly creamy and delicious. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food!

After a few days of British and Scottish cuisine my partner and I were craving something spicy and delicious. We decided on Tuk Tuk and that was an amazing choice! You can get 5-6 little meals and try a lot of different things.

Great service, delicious food (such a great smell of fresh Indian cuisine when you walk in!) and the 'small plates' style is perfect if you want to order your own or share-I'd argue that the plates are not so small! Reasonably priced as well and staff were super attentive. Most importantly - Very accommodating of my dietary needs (vegan and intolerances to onion and garlic).

Great place! Delicious small plates of Indian street food. Lots of veggie and even vegan options. We had 4 plates and rice for 2 people and it was plenty of food. You can bring in your own wine or beer, free, and they will even supply glasses. It’s more on the informal side just in case you were expecting something fancy. Yum!!

It was a great vibe and extremely friendly staff. The food was authentic Indian food and offered a great quality. The roadside plates were one of the best I've had in Edinburgh and would def recommend for friends as the prices are quite affordable. The interior and ambiance is just amazing. Would definitely visit again!!
