Having been to Bosham many times, we were excited to try out Marwick’s for the first time. Everything was ‘ok’, the food was reasonable, the service was acceptable, the atmosphere was fine, if a little flat… There is nothing I can really complain about, but nothing I can get too excited about either. It’s a lovely venue, and does make things feel a little more special. But in terms of the food, this was really no better than any number of the local pubs in the area. It might just be because we had very high expectations, but we were left a little disappointed.

Highly recommended: the food is superbe and it’s in such a wonderful setting with a stream running through the garden. They are kids friendly too.

Went in for a lovely Sunday scone and tea in June. Lovely clean venue with a nice outdoor sunny seating with several tables available.

A beautiful setting with the stream running through the garden. The restaurant itself was cosy and well spaced. We had the fish and chips - nicely done, the home made curry sauce an interesting addition, and the smoked trout. Both were really well cooked and presented. Lovely staff as well.

Great service and superb food, such a classically British atmosphere and stunning food to accompany the surroundings. Well worth a visit.

Very disappointing, it was like dining in an up market retirement home (nothing to do with the clientel) stilted place with no atmosphere, polite staff gliding around in pained disinterest. Menu pretty boring and overpriced for basic pub food. Cheese course £8.50, three very small finger slices of cheddar/ brie/ blue something - all of which sit in my fridge, and not anything to do with the local heritage cheese described on menu. Worse still served on dinner plate at fridge temperature with a few feezing gapes and two slivers of celery, the most boring overpriced cheese I have had. Needless to say I will not be returning and would not recomend.

Yesterday, I had lunch at Marwick's with two friends. We all chose the fish of the day, which was plaice. The meal was beautifully presented and, though it didn't look over large, we found it very satisfying - in fact so much so that we felt we could not manage a pudding and asked if there was any chance we could just have fruit. We were then presented with a very colourful and tasty fruit salad.: the perfect end to a lovely meal. To my mind, everything about Marwick’s is perfect. This was my first visit, but it will certainly not be my last. Thank you all at Marwick’s

The food is not bad, but could be improved for the price charged and the staff could be a little friendlier. They seem to focus more on the regular diners than the new ones and everything took so long to achieve.
