Having lived in Thailand for many years I have to say I was a little disappointed with the visit, not because it was terrible but there were just some odd aspects to it, I ordered a starter of salt and pepper squid but what was served was just tempura squid there was not sign of the salt or pepper it was just weird that you would call it something it isn't, the rest of the dishes were generally ok, pork belly was nice, with regards to flavour and the actual meat and seafood was nice, my wife had the lime and seabass and she loved it but I had the Samui Seafood, which had the strangest concoction of a sauce in it that I was fighting to keep the seafood from getting it on it, Never in my 20 plus years in Thailand had I ever tasted anything like it and I have no idea what its was it said "Dressed in Thai herbs and crushed peanuts" I dont recall seeing any crushed peanuts and it was overly sweet, yet significantly sour but with no real thai flavours shining through, this really needs a revisit because it was spoiling the seafood which was great. I guess if you visit you will feel that it is a taste of thailand but for me I was a little disappointed and I was out for dinner on our wedding anniversary so didnt want to make a fuss but if I had been eating on my own I would have sent the salt and pepper squid back and definitely the Samui Seafood. Oh and the last bad point was the table was so small it couldn't even fit two table mats on it, Thai is a food best shared there was no room to do this.

Had lunch and the starters were reasonably priced and good. The main course (beef stir-fry and egg fried rice). The beef stir-fry was so salty it was awful! The egg fried rice was good. The dessert was simply lychee ice cream to wash away the overwhelming taste of salt from the main course. Whether there was a mistake and the dish had been salted 2,3,4 times who knows but not pleasant. Would we recommend - neutral - go and see what you think. Would we go back - no. The cost of drinks was also very high. Two glasses of wine Β£28!

A fabulous lunch experience today on our first visit to Giggling Squid. When your husbands a coeliac is difficult to find safe places to eat. Easy to use QR code with allergen details. Great choice of Menu choices. Usually itβs just one or two choices. Both people who served us were very attentive and friendly one being called Claudiu? Great tasting food. Thank you to the chefs for providing great tasty and safe food. (Photos of food are not the GF choices)

Visited for Valentines Day at 8pm when it was extremely busy. Our waiter was lovely and helpful. The cocktails (Papaya Daiquiri and Apple Berry Smash) were gorgeous. We loved our starters (Vegetable Spring Rolls and Squid Bits), they were cooked to perfection and the accompanying sauces we delicious. We had the Thai Green Curry and Thai Melting Beef for mains, and the beef was lovely. I would highly recommend, and will be returning very soon.

Having visited here before, we knew what to expect. My Pad Thai was well presented, tasty and hot, although the portion size seemed a little smaller than on previous occasions. To finish off our meal, we stumped for a dessert on this occasion. The pudding trio was very tasty, but I would not have it again. The price of their desserts seemed on the high side, so I would rather have their very nice βSalt and Pepper Squidβ as a starter and not have a dessert. That said, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend Giggling Squid.

A lovely place to visit done up with a beautiful, bright, eye catching decor. Nice place to go with family, friends or on a date. The food was very flavoursome, sadly the beef in my curry was too chewy. I was expecting more for the price of the meals, I canβt stand chewy meat. The rice portions are very small so I wouldnβt suggest sharing. A small bottle of coke was Β£3.50. The staff were friendly, well presented and attentive.

What an amazing restaurant the Giggling squid is. Fabulous relaxed modern and clean decor, sets the scene. Great friendly service adds to the ambiance, the staff are engaging, professional and have a good understanding of the menu, providing ideas and advise when needed. The food itself is sublime, stunning flavour combinations, authentic, with depth and diversity, being aromatic and comforting, all of this for a large group too. All meals were delivered succinctly and quickly with no fuss, we will definitely will be back.

The menu is fun and a take on Thai Street food. Quite expensive for what it is though the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Loses 2 stars because the walt times were ridiculous. It was not busy. 25 minutes to get the drinks and a further 45 minutes to get the tapas starter. After an hour and 15 minutes we had to chase the waiter to get a fire under the main course as we had an appointment. Really no reason for it to be so glacially slow at lunchtime. Avoid if you're looking for a quick lunch.

Where to start, the atmosphere and decor was really nice. The food was far beyond any other Thai food I had ever eaten. Full of flavour, fresh, it was amazing. Great selection of food. Cocktails were fairly priced and tasted really good. I had an old fashion with lemon grass and maple syrup. All round good night out with the wife. Highly recommended
