“We had an incredible dining experience at The Fat Italian in Burscough! From start to finish, every dish was a delight. The starters were impressive - the garlic bread, goat cheese and pine nut bruschetta, and pane olio were all delicious and perfectly prepared. For mains, the prawn pasta was good, and the salmon and asparagus was a standout - the white sauce was absolutely amazing! But the real showstopper was the dessert! We were blown away by the Daim butterscotch sundae, it was truly unbelievable!”

“We popped to Hoole a few weeks back and had seen this restaurant and said we'd come back and try it. So we did and oh my days it was so delicious. The portion sizes were huge. There is an option to choose half portions which I thought was a lovely idea and great for lunch times if you didn't want a big meal. We will definitely be coming back”

“Came for a meal out with family. Our server was really attentive, friendly and helpful. One of our party was Coeliac (gluten free) and he walked her though each option - loads of choice, all pasta and pizza GF options. Really nice food and drink, atmosphere was great. Definitely recommend!”

“My food was really good, I got a spicy beef pasta that had Villa Romana in the name. I had a dessert from the dessert trolley too. Tiramisu! It was good but also £7.85. The service was quick and atmosphere was pretty relaxed. Main, Dessert and Soft Drink was just under £30”

“Al Dente Restaurant We had dinner at Al Dente last night, and I highly recommend booking a table in advance, as the restaurant is quite popular. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, with a lively yet comfortable ambiance. Food & Drinks The menu offers a great selection of dishes. I ordered the sirloin steak (medium-rare)—it was flavorful, though slightly chewy in some parts. We also tried the lamb with mashed potatoes, which was incredibly tender and full of rich flavor. For pasta lovers, we sampled the Carbonara—delicious, creamy, and very filling (we couldn’t even finish the whole portion!). The shrimp pasta was equally tasty and satisfying, making it a great choice for seafood enthusiasts. Service & Overall Experience The service truly stood out. The waitstaff were attentive, polite, and knowledgeable, helping us choose dishes and making sure we had a great dining experience. Their attention to detail added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. If you're looking for a delicious Mediterranean dining experience in a warm and welcoming setting, Al Dente is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!”

Food was good and delivered swiftly. Price very reasonable averaging around £20 a head. Located on main high street so cannot park straight outside, but only a five minute to the car. Well worth a visit.”

“We came in off the chance late on a Saturday. The restaurant was so busy we thought we would be turned away. A little 5 minute wait in the bar and was shown to our table. Louise was looking after us, her service was great and we was well looked after all evening. The food was delicious, drinks was great. Not sure what more you could ask for!”
