“Hey Presto! From the moment we arrived, the service at this place was exceptional. Despite being a large party of 15, they accommodated us at very short notice—something many places wouldn’t even attempt on a busy weekend day. The manager/owner personally welcomed us, which set the tone for the rest of our visit. He went out of his way to explain that the chicken and lamb are halal, which was not only thoughtful but allowed several of us to explore more of the menu confidently. On his recommendation, we ordered the chicken focaccia, which turned out to be a standout—tender, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. Highly recommended. The pizzas were genuinely authentic Neapolitan style—light, airy crust with just the right char, and high-quality ingredients you can taste in every bite. The food came out quickly, and despite the group size, the waitresses were welcoming, attentive, and incredibly efficient, ensuring everyone was looked after without missing a beat. To finish, we had coffee—and I can honestly say, it was the best I’ve had in Maidenhead. Rich, smooth, and perfectly pulled. We followed that with fresh cannoli, which were the ideal sweet finish. There’s a certain charm to the atmosphere here. With the smell of fresh dough, barista-quality coffee, and the staff’s warmth, if the people around were dressed just a bit more elegantly, you might just mistake yourself for an eaterie in Naples or Rome. This was my first visit to Presto, but absolutely won’t be the last. It’s rare to find a place that delivers great food, personal service, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere all in one.”

“The BEST hidden gem! The owners are absolutely wonderful – so passionate, welcoming, and friendly, they make you feel like part of the family as soon as you walk in. The food is just delicious, made with genuine Italian ingredients that taste completely different to anything you’ll find in other cafés. Every bite is full of authentic flavour and love. I always recommend this place to friends and tell all my baby massage clients to pop in after class. It is such a lovely spot to enjoy real Italian food and a relaxed atmosphere. A must visit!”

“This is a place to visit several times. Fantastic service! One of the best Tiramisu in the UK? I think so. Pizza was good, and not the right dish to give 5 stars as such. Sitting outside was ok, and really the only choice the place was packed inside on a Sunday. And only 19£ for Pizza, soda and dessert. That’s pretty nice:-) And I have to apologise: I forgot to tip! Was so nice talking to the waiter I completely lost track of the usual routine…. Will come back and make this right!”

“We went to Daniele Sicilian for our Golden Wedding anniversary. We took 20 friends and family and had an amazing time. The food was excellent everyone enjoyed it, there were no complaints other than there more than enough. The staff could not have been more helpful, they were attentive but discreet. “Hands down THE BEST pizza in Aldershot. Doesn’t taste like some cheap takeaway pizza that you can get anywhere. It feels almost as if it’s homemade. The restaurant itself is very nice. You may not notice it but there is an area with some tables if you go down the corridor. You can definitely see how passionate the owners were when making this place and well… the food. I also reccomend the spaghetti carbonara”

“Valle D’Oro is a wonderful family run independent Italian Restaurant in Newbury town centre, it’s food and drink selection is very good, so many options for steaks, the service was fast and friendly and you could tell the staff really care about their customers and the venue itself is cosy and well decorated. I had the steak in peppercorn sauce, I think if I ordered again I’d go for rare instead of medium rare. The fillet steak itself was incredible, it’s in my top five all time steaks, and it one of my go to items on menus so I’ve had lots in the past. The peppercorn sauce was also excellent, very thick and incredibly peppery, creamy goodness. The portion sizes are massive, so be careful not to over order, the vegetable selection looked amazing but we had no room left to try it. This is a great local business, it’s been located in Newbury since the 1080’s and you can see why it’s been so successful and long lived, it’s just brilliant, most highly recommend”

“We had an amazing dinner at La Casa! The atmosphere is calm, cosy, and intimate - perfect for a relaxed evening out. Although it's a small restaurant, it feels very welcoming and personal. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly, and our waitress was absolutely brilliant - friendly, attentive and professional, all while remaining discreet and non-intrusive. Every course was delicious. The calamari was perfectly cooked, the pesto and mozzarella bread was packed with flavour, and the crème brûlée was a standout. You can tell everything is made with care. Like, seriously, the best pizza I've ever had, hands down. My absolute fave is the Hell's Kitchen pizza.
