As an Italian, I love supporting independent Italian businesses, so I was really looking forward to visiting Presto for the first time yesterday around lunchtime. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good experience. When we walked in, it was quite chaotic — no one greeted us or explained how things worked, although I can appreciate everyone was busy. I went up to the till to ask and was told to sit anywhere and then come back to order. We weren’t given any menus, so we ended up asking a nearby table if we could borrow theirs. There’s a large menu board behind the till, but before ordering it’s awkward to see as the space is quite tight. I then grabbed drinks from the fridge before ordering at the till, but no glasses were provided (or at least the option, I shouldn’t have to ask). When the pizzas arrived, I was really disappointed. As someone who’s had pizza all over Italy and the UK, I can confidently say this one missed the mark. My pizza lacked salt, was very soggy in the middle, almost watery, and felt undercooked. I understand the Neapolitan style, but this just didn’t taste nor felt right. Sadly, I won’t be returning for pizza, but maybe for the pastries or a coffee.

We stopped at Presto Italian in Maidenhead while working nearby on some 360° virtual tour scans for clients, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our day. We’d just planned to grab a quick coffee and pastry, but the smell of freshly baked pizza and the friendly welcome from the team convinced us to stay longer. The coffee was perfect — smooth and rich — and the pastries were fresh, buttery, and beautifully presented. We came back later for lunch and were so glad we did. The sourdough pizzas were exceptional: light, crispy crusts with just the right char, full of flavour and clearly made with top-quality ingredients. The pasta dishes were equally impressive — generous portions, rich sauces, and beautifully seasoned. The staff were attentive, upbeat, and genuinely proud of what they do. You can tell this is a place that cares about its food and its customers. The atmosphere feels relaxed and authentic, with a lovely Italian buzz that makes you want to linger. Whether you’re in Maidenhead for business, passing through, or just looking for a great spot to eat, Presto is a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area — and we’ll be recommending it to our clients too!

This was an amazing experience from the Staff to the food! The atmosphere was friendly and we came at a time where they just finished being busy from the afternoon. The food was so goood that you want to try the other pizza whilst eating your current one! The veggie salads from the display were so tasty and light despite the generous portion. Had the basque cheesecake for dessert which was the cherry on top! No gimmicks just great food to enjoy on any night of the week. Would highly recommend

We visited this Italian restaurant for the first time on a Saturday after 4pm. There were only a few tables taken, but the staff seemed quite busy managing both the till (for cakes, drinks, etc.) and table service. It took around 15 minutes before our order was taken and then about half an hour for the food to arrive, which felt a little long, though the staff themselves were friendly throughout. The ingredients are definitely high quality, and you can tell care goes into the food. I ordered a pizza, but for me personally, it wasn’t quite the style I enjoy. Mine came with no cheese, but lots of spinach and ham, and while fresh, it felt more like eating a salad on bread than the type of pizza I prefer. The garlic pizza bread was tasty (though my partner found it a bit too smoky) and the garlic mayo that came with it was honestly the highlight of the meal, really delicious and worth trying. For dessert, we had a cheesecake and a cinnamon pastry. The cheesecake was a little too sweet for me, but overall still enjoyable, and the pastry was okay, though nothing standout. To give some context: I’ve recently come back from Italy, where we had incredible pizza in Rome. Ever since, we’ve been trying to find authentic Italian-style pizzas here in the UK, but haven’t quite been successful even at Italian restaurants. The pizzas we had in Italy felt like clouds: very crispy, light, and airy. That’s the style we’ve been looking for, but it’s not what we found here. Overall, this is a friendly place with good quality ingredients, but the style just isn’t quite what I personally look for in a pizza. If you enjoy a more topping-heavy, fresh style, you’ll probably love it.

Hey Presto! From the moment we arrived, the service at this place was exceptional. Despite being a large party of 15, they accommodated us at very short notice—something many places wouldn’t even attempt on a busy weekend day. The manager/owner personally welcomed us, which set the tone for the rest of our visit. He went out of his way to explain that the chicken and lamb are halal, which was not only thoughtful but allowed several of us to explore more of the menu confidently. On his recommendation, we ordered the chicken focaccia, which turned out to be a standout—tender, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. Highly recommended. The pizzas were genuinely authentic Neapolitan style—light, airy crust with just the right char, and high-quality ingredients you can taste in every bite. The food came out quickly, and despite the group size, the waitresses were welcoming, attentive, and incredibly efficient, ensuring everyone was looked after without missing a beat. To finish, we had coffee—and I can honestly say, it was the best I’ve had in Maidenhead. Rich, smooth, and perfectly pulled. We followed that with fresh cannoli, which were the ideal sweet finish. There’s a certain charm to the atmosphere here. With the smell of fresh dough, barista-quality coffee, and the staff’s warmth, if the people around were dressed just a bit more elegantly, you might just mistake yourself for an eaterie in Naples or Rome. This was my first visit to Presto, but absolutely won’t be the last. It’s rare to find a place that delivers great food, personal service, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere all in one.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the pizza at this Italian restaurant and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. For a long time, I had been searching for authentic Italian pizza outside of London and I had started to have doubts if I would ever find it. But I can confidently say that I have finally found it here. This restaurant truly offers the ultimate Italian experience in the area. The owner is incredibly friendly and bubbly, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere of the establishment. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch and truly worth the price. The only downside is that the prices are on the higher end for a street food establishment, but I believe the quality makes it worth it. In addition to the pizza, this restaurant offers a great variety of Sicilian sodas and homemade tiramisu, which are delicious and definitely worth trying. The espresso and Sicilian cannoli are also amazing, and it seems that they are made in-house, making them even more special. The restaurant is primarily for take-out or delivery, however, if you don't mind sitting at a tight bar table, you will be able to enjoy your meal in a calm and cozy atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian pizza and a delicious variety of homemade dessert. Despite the price, I would definitely return and make it a regular spot.

Lovely pizza! I’ve had many good (and not so good) pizzas before and I can tell you that Presto is one of the best ones I’ve had!! Amazing food and very friendly staff! They only have a small sitting area but we manage to find a seat! Also it was sunny when we have visited so they have opened the big window by the sitting area and we could enjoy our pizzas and a bit of fresh air which was lovely - Almost like outdoor dining! They also do loyalty cards and you can collect stamps every time you order a pizza with them which you can then exchange for a free pizza! Would definitely visit again!
