We have been using the mitas since they opened, both sit in and take away, ill be honest here ,we have tried others( have to give everyone a chance )but always returned to the mitas as no one else has surpassed thier standards in food or atmosphere, food is always freshly cooked (hence the wait) and piping hot when served, good portion size and a vast choice on the menu, always happy to accommodate personal taste alterations to the order, delivery drivers are very friendly ,polite and prompt and food well packed for transit ( nowt worse than a spillage ) would 100% recomend

Continues to rate as our top Indian in Twyford and Maidenhead District. Strangely though, on the last visit, directed to sit next to a large family group while the other half of the restaurant was empty upon arrival and still empty on departure. However, the quality of the food more than made up for it! Fast service; maybe a little too fast.

Unfortunately, a bad experience this evening. Ordered for delivery with estimated delivery time at 50mins. After this time had lapsed and no sign of food, I rang the restaurant just to check it was on its way. The person I spoke to then went off to check and I overheard some heated conversation around “it hasn’t been sent yet??”, followed by the person on the phone telling it would be with me in 5-10 mins and apologising for the delay. 25 mins later (76 mins from ordering), my food finally arrives stone cold. I had to reheat it completely, and rang the restaurant to provide feedback about this. Nothing was offered so I directly asked for my delivery charge at least to be refunded which was met with “you can have one item free when you book next time”. Not good enough, and when there is such stiff competition in Twyford, it’s unlikely I’ll be ordering again. A great shame as I’ve been a loyal customer of Mitas for over 8 years.

Two of us went for dinner. Taste was great, service was great. Only downside, portions are a bit small for the price. We spent 25£ per person and did not feel full enough. Portions are quite small. One has to order a lot of different foods to have enough when hungry. Bread and rice normally comes for free or at least in large amounts, they charge extra for each slice and bowl.

The food was absolutely delicious. We sampled a bit of everything. Our servers were so kind to put up with the crazy Americans. We showed up about 45 minutes early for our reservation and offered to wait but they went ahead and seated us. The Chicken Korma was amazing. So many dishes to choose from and they patiently stood and answered all of our questions. The restaurant is located in a pretty and quiet little suburb of London which was about 2 blocks from the train station. Definitely recommend.

The staff was extremely helpful, polite and respectful. The exterior and interior were elegant and suites the posh neighbor within where it is situated. There were so many types of entrees that we used the starters to fill in the gaps. We all had different entrees and were extremely impressed. For starters we had papadam, garlic fried bread, mixed kebab, fried king prawn. For entrees we had chicken korma, Mita Special, & King Prawn Hundee. We also had mushroom fried rice, egg fried rice and pilau rice. I seriously recommed Mita's. Come hungry and try as many things as you can.

Been going to Mita's for nearly twenty odd years. My fave curry place. The owners and staff are excellent and very friendly. How about this ... over the years I used to drop in at least once a week and have a lamb madras, but bit by bit I would ask for a tweak here and there (bit of fruit, more chilli, lets try some honey etc etc). Eventually they would see me come in call to the chef "Ramsay Special". So now, the Ramsay Special is on the actual menu :D I would recommend you try it.
