“My husband and me went to celebrate his birthday. Food was lovely and good portions. I really like the character of the place. All waitresses were friendly. I have asked them to write on my husband dessert "Happy birthday " and they did it with an extra unexpected birthday singing. They were lovely! We absolutely satisfied with everything. “Good food across the board. Nice staff with timely service. Much appreciated. Fun quirk: Gandhi was strictly a teetotaler and anti alcohol. His birth state has banned alcohol for this reason. In the restaurant the non-alcoholic options were scarce. Not quite Gandhi in that aspect.”

“Very very delicious food. I have been to a few kokoro in the surrounding area and more including Reading, Basingstoke, Windsor and also some in London. This one has thoroughly impressed me though, there is a wide range of food to choose from that is fresh and I could hardly choose. The staff were very friendly and in particular this lady with glasses who works in the evenings when I came in after a long shift of work. She was so kind and made the trip even better that I had to write a review. This is the best Korean/asian food you will get around, so I highly recommend.”

“Hey Presto! From the moment we arrived, the service at this place was exceptional. Despite being a large party of 15, they accommodated us at very short notice—something many places wouldn’t even attempt on a busy weekend day. The manager/owner personally welcomed us, which set the tone for the rest of our visit. He went out of his way to explain that the chicken and lamb are halal, which was not only thoughtful but allowed several of us to explore more of the menu confidently. On his recommendation, we ordered the chicken focaccia, which turned out to be a standout—tender, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. Highly recommended. The pizzas were genuinely authentic Neapolitan style—light, airy crust with just the right char, and high-quality ingredients you can taste in every bite. The food came out quickly, and despite the group size, the waitresses were welcoming, attentive, and incredibly efficient, ensuring everyone was looked after without missing a beat. To finish, we had coffee—and I can honestly say, it was the best I’ve had in Maidenhead. Rich, smooth, and perfectly pulled. We followed that with fresh cannoli, which were the ideal sweet finish. There’s a certain charm to the atmosphere here. With the smell of fresh dough, barista-quality coffee, and the staff’s warmth, if the people around were dressed just a bit more elegantly, you might just mistake yourself for an eaterie in Naples or Rome. This was my first visit to Presto, but absolutely won’t be the last. It’s rare to find a place that delivers great food, personal service, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere all in one.”

“The BEST hidden gem! The owners are absolutely wonderful – so passionate, welcoming, and friendly, they make you feel like part of the family as soon as you walk in. The food is just delicious, made with genuine Italian ingredients that taste completely different to anything you’ll find in other cafés. Every bite is full of authentic flavour and love. I always recommend this place to friends and tell all my baby massage clients to pop in after class. It is such a lovely spot to enjoy real Italian food and a relaxed atmosphere. A must visit!”

“A small and minimalist Japanese cafe with super fresh and cheap food. Some of the most authentic Japanese food I have had in the UK (I live in London). Service was fantastic, efficient and friendly.”

“They are marked as "The best of the best" and there is nothing lied about that. Our journey was Christmas at the Fat Duck, and a journey it was. Everything about the evening was magical. It was focussed around finding your inner child from the Christmas crackers and the weird paper crowns until the last course, like a kid in a candy shop. If you observe well you can see the care to details, the food is obvious but also the lighting, the staff and how you, as a table, are paired with them. There are so many surprises and it is impossible to know what to expect, which is realy satisfying. The staff is next level. They are diverse, knowledgeable, sharp and funny. They truely make you feel like the evening is about you as a guest without being "to much". I would recommend this adventure to everyone who is willing to go the extra mile. It is not cheap but like Mastercard says: "some things in life are priceless" and this was definitely one for us. Thank you for making a memory for life.”

“Just came back from lovely Japanese dinner. Wine was perfectly paired with meal and food was absolutely delicious! Both Miwa and myself come from Japan and must say we rarely find authentic Japanese food around this area. “Best food 'takeout' I have personally tried. True authentic Italian food - decided to try the menu items (only had the 10/10 Pizza previously) and it didn't disappoint. Absolutely great meal and good value. These guys need a full restaurant with seating! Glass of vino and a three course meal with them would be great.”

“Recommended by a friend so thought I'd give it a try as a little pit stop to my journey. Lovely staff and was a delight to see the kitchen in the back making the food and having true care to what they're doing. Pizza was true to the name with an amazingly crisp base and a dough that was so flavoursome! I just went for a simple Margherita as that should shine how good an establishments pizza is; it didn't disappoint. Tangy dough from its fermentation, beautifully sweet but salted tomato base with creamy cheese. It didn't make the journey home and I was eating slices at the wheel!”

“We got a take away as we were feeling lazy and as a friend had recommended Haka we gave it a try. We had a mix of bits and loved everything we got, we ordered three rice and were surprised to find that they give big portions of rice rather than the small ones some restaurants do. We’ll be going back as we enjoyed the food and the quick turn around time too - about 10/15 minutes. Be warned you have to pay with cash so make sure to take some.”

“Having heard that the Indian Kitchen now allows customers to bring their own alcohol into the restaurant I thought I’d visit last night (Sunday) and found they had a buffet night where you choose anything off the menu for a set price. It was excellent! Probably the best keema nan ever! The head chef even came out to ask how the food was! Definitely will be back!”

“Came for Christmas dinner at the shire horse. Was greeted with a warm welcome from Mel, who seated us. We had booked the pre-ordered Christmas dinner. The food was brought out in a timely manor, and Amelia who looked after our table always checked in with us. Each dish was impeccable, especially impressed with the steak dinner as it was cooked perfectly to my liking. The atmosphere is warm, calm, and bubbly,a beautiful balance. Thank you to Mel, Stanley, Amelia and all the staff at the shire horse for making this Christmas special x”
