It had been a long time since I last visited Prezzo.Walked in without a booking. No problem at all. The staff were helpful, especially Corey. Big shout-out. We had to move seats due to a noisy table (without being drunk). Handled smoothly and professionally. Ordered Salmon Rustica and a Calzone. Absolutely wonderful. Mouth-watering. Full of flavour. Spot on. One noticeable change though; prices have gone up. Snap. Guess we adjust or go cheaper elsewhere, or visit once in a blue moon. Still a lovely experience overall.

Not sure where to begin, we were a table of 9, due to some members not being able to attend for a party of 12, we where quickly seated and everything seemed fine. Drinks ordered taken and this was the start of what could only be described as an abysmal service. The waiter who I assume may have been a manager or possibly the responsible member on shift had all but 1 of the drinks correct. This was quickly corrected and then our food orders were taken. All seemed ok however only 8 persons received their starters, after 5 minutes we had to ask where the other starter was, the waitress didn’t know and quickly checked with the kitchen. Returning to advise it would be two minutes; this arrived with no issues. Mains arrived only 8 of which one of the Al Forno Dishes didn’t arrive with the others. The waiters said sorry and advised it would be 2 minutes, 7 minutes later the male waiter or manager on duty had to be flagged down to advise that the main was missing he said sorry and checked with the kitchen and advised they where doing the main now. When it arrived the middle was frozen. Clearly indicating that the food isn’t cooked fresh, a massive drop by Prezzo! The gentlemen kindly took it away after being flagged down and said a fresh one would be cooked, he kindly offered a free wine and took the main off the bill due to this. On clear observation the female waitresses seemed more bothered about hanging around the bar gossiping about guests and our table due to the issues being faced and another table experienced the same. By this point we found the funny side of it as we have been here a few times before with no issues until recently. I found the lack of service and attention to detail to be beyond a joke and only the man on duty seemed bothered or apologetic. I don’t know what’s happened to Prezzo Reading but it’s clearly going down hill. I won’t be returning or recommending others to return due to such an awful experience…. Only good thing was the food for those of us that received our meals on time and with no issues.

Lovely food and really delicious desserts, our waiter Corey was very engaging and honestly made the night! He was so approachable and I was lucky enough to beat him in rock paper scissors and won some Nutella balls! Would recommend and will definitely be coming back!

A nice meal out. The waiting staff were attentive. The food was lovely... tasty, good temperature and great size portions. We had a voucher, which saved us 25% - it was lovely to be able to use it on a Friday night. Only one criticism... the front door. The door closers weren't working so everytime someone came in, or left, the door didn't close. It was minus figures Friday night which was felt in the restaurant. We kept getting up to close the door and the staff closed it too when they noticed (but they were busy serving). Would eat here again in the spring, summer or autumn, but not while it's freezing outside (unless the doors get fixed!!!).

Good italian restaurant, centrally located (nearby the Oracle shopping mall), with polite staff and moderate prices. It is nicely decorated. I was not waiting too long for the meal to come out. Food was perfectly fine.

Only went here as we had a voucher. If I want Italian I would prefer to go to a family owned business rather than a chain (to which there are plenty of in Reading). The food is quite nice but is way overpriced. Service is slow and the staff have this strange pretentious attitude for some reason. We asked for some ketchup for my son’s pepperoni pizza “you mean red sauce” the waitress said, and brought over a tea spoon of ketchup in a china pot - get over yourselves - your a chain with 150+ restaurants. Just let us have the bottle!

I am (Totally Grateful) ★★★☆☆
Prezzo sent me a birthday gift in the form of a voucher to redeem against a drink or desert, a very nice gesture. I don’t know Reading that well but the restaurant was conveniently located in the corner of King st, part of the hustle and bustle of all that was taking place, which made it very easy to find. The inside displayed modern art deco and tables were found in different parts of this large building. The service was not brilliant, but once I explained that we are pressed for time they were very helpful and attentive. The food was a let down, I paid for extra olives & pepper and still got a naked pizza. Thé désert was nice. They really need to find better chefs.

Lovely experience! We arrived after 9pm for dinner, really hungry after a busy day. We had Mushroom and Ham pizz - really really good, wow, well seasoned, fresh and delicious Pasta with prawns- classic Italian but they use "Mother pasta sauce ", you can feel the flavours from the first bite, well seasoned, lovely presentation, love it Pasta carbonara - classic carbonara, delicious sauce ( not to fatty), the bacon was fat free making a big difference, well seasoned- my partner love it. Service - 5* - our service was lovely, attentive and it was the best one so far. We travelled from London for one week, we tried few restaurants, no other comments Thank you so much Angelina, you made our evening great ❤️ Will be back soon
