Our waitress Gabi was very attentive; she was attentive at all times. Rosa

Gabi was an incredibly friendly waitress. Happy to make conversation, cheerful and attentive She should be proud of the hard work she does here. Ask staff are really friendly, the food was top notch and the atmosphere around Christmas is gorgeous Will be coming back!

Lino was outstanding from start to finish. He made us feel so welcome and taken care of the entire time, with just the right balance of professionalism and friendliness. Everything ran so smoothly thanks to his attention and calm, confident manner. It’s rare to come across service that feels this genuine — Lino really made the evening special.

The restaurant was lovely, lovely atmosphere. The Malbec was beautiful. My linguine fruit de mare was a good portion and tasted great. My daughter’s pizza was huge and she struggled to eat it all even after playing a whole game of footy! Kasia was very attentive and polite. All in all a great spot for lunch :)

My friends and I planned our visit to use a voucher we received last year after a bad experience, however Millie completely changed our experience with her brilliant customer service and wonderful personality. She was so polite and apologised when our food was slow (although it seemed well to us after last time). The food and drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was so inviting. Millie truly was the highlight of the night!

The kids spag bol is watery and too bland. My kids love this dish but here, they barely touched it. No taste at all... the beef brisket papardelle was rather bland too.. the pasta was overcooked. I couldn't taste anything. The strawberry daiquiri was also unflavoursome... Overall, it's not a great experience don't think we'll be back any time soon!

Ask, used to be our go to restaurant in town, unfortunately, this is now no longer the case. The service levels have dropped dramatically, food is missed from order and taking a long time to serve despite half the restaurant being empty. The quality of the food has taken a nose dive, where the calamari once used to be crisp and hot, now it is chewy and soggy. Pizza toppings strewn on one side, under cooked and cold. Our waitress was sweet, but unfortunately, she couldn’t stop the mistakes happening or the poor quality food. Shame really.

This is a really lovely place to dine out, the food is so flavoursome and the staff are very friendly. I thoroughly enjoy it every time I go and I would recommend it if you're in Basingstoke. 'G' is a lovely waiter and an asset to the restaurant also.

We asked for a table for 2 on a Saturday afternoon at 4pm, to be told 'We're only taking bookings' and so couldn't seat us. The restaurant was near empty. I counted 21 empty tables inside and more than that outside. There were about 8-10 people inside but most looked bored. I understand the need to book when it's busy but when we walked past an hour later, still empty.

Experience was very bad. Food was ok however asked for a table for 3 rather than giving us a bigger table they perched the third person on the edge of a 2 person table. Which was highly embarrassing. Also this was the second time I ordered tiramisu and this is the second time they did not have it. Again appalling service. I feel they need to improve their service and ensure they have everything on the menu. I found this experience awful and embarrassing my colleagues also felt the same and I will not be coming again. This was Ask in Basingstoke.
