Definitely order the olives as well! Loved the fact that this was a family run restaurant and you can really see the effort put in especially into the food. “A friend and I arrived without booking and the staff were very accommodating, we had to depart by 7.30, but arriving at 6.15 gave us plenty of time. I had king prawn and chorizo penne which was really good. Followed by cheese cake accompanied by a glass of fizz. Really good food and very good service.”

As a vegetarian, the options on the menu were extensive, which is something I rarely experience, and from what I ate, the food was delicious. I also really appreciated the vibe of the restaurant; customers knew the staff, and that resulted in a welcoming and social environment. The apple juice was also exquisite.”

“Great buffet experience with a wide variety of Chinese, Indian, and continental dishes along with live stations. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the options were well presented. The only thing I really missed was crispy fried prawns, which would have made it perfect, hence one star less. Otherwise, highly recommended!”

“Visited twice in the last month, have been waiting to try this restaurant since it opened but never got round to it…I’m so glad we finally did! A fantastic experience on both occasions. We had a birthday dinner here last night and the service was fantastic. One of our party has some very limiting dietary requirements, most of which eliminate any possibility of eating at an Italian! This was no problem for Segreto, they went above and beyond to produce a fantastic 3 course meal even with so many dietary restrictions! The rest of our food was fantastic as well, there is a huge selection of traditional Italian food with gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options too, alongside a huge and varied range of drinks options. The lady who served us on both evenings went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable and enjoyable experience, and the food was of the highest quality. Portion sizes are on the bigger side so more than value for money as the prices are incredibly reasonable. The decor is beautiful and all of the seating areas are intimate and private making for a lovely dining experience. I couldn’t recommend highly enough and only wish I had eaten here sooner! We will all definitely be back and want to say a massive thank you to both the chefs and the staff for giving us an experience to remember. Wish more people knew about this fantastic secret! “Gorgeous pizza in a lovely atmosphere plus great tunes as added bonus. They use ingredients from their allotment and stone milled organic grains for their dough which is so tasty even on its own. I had fig and goats cheese, can't express how delicious it is. There's a wide selection of organic wine to sip while you wait. Me and my friends had a great time! (Also the rye chocolate cookies are like heaven).”

“One of the best pizzas in the UK. I'm Italian, and this is exactly what you'd find in Naples. Great location with a beer garden and amazing service. Paolo is very friendly and professional. My wife and I have been regular customers since we moved to Derby in 2021. I would 100000% recommend it.”

“From just looking at the menu the food seems really basic and overpriced and I do find it difficult to justify spending £9.95 on lunch (with the small portion option) but while the ingredients are simple the portion you get for small is filling and as they say the ingredients truly are fresh and delicious. My favourites were the daal and hot potatoes. The main protein I had, chicken breast, seemed bland at first glance but actually tasted very good. Unfortunately I forgot to take additional pictures below the top layer. I think I'd only get this for lunch on special occasions but I think I would get the better value medium for dinner more often, I can't imagine finishing a medium bowl in one sitting. 2: I finally found an excuse to go again and it was really good. I had the salmon this time, which cost £2.50 extra ! It was quite good, a touch fishy. I had the daal, chicken curry, beef rice thingy. It was all quite filling and good.”

I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and the chips and onion rings were amazing. The rest of the meals were great and it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff were lovely. “We visited today for my birthday and oh my goodness it's was brilliant. Absolutely fantastic service from a very friendly guy (didn't get his name!) from the minute we walked in. So refreshing to have a waiter who does things so well. Cocktails were lovely and well made and the birthday card was a very nice touch. We both had three courses, and finished every last bit of it all! Really delicious. My husband particularly enjoyed the Thai sweet potato soup and I absolutely loved the rump of lamb. The flavours were so fresh and delicious. Felt like a real treat to visit somewhere so lovely. Can't wait to revisit! Thank you!”
