Fantastic Christmas meal today! Sophie was seeing to our table, and what a fantastic job she did. She was pleasant, chatty, and made sure our meal was exactly what we wanted - couldn't fault the food or the service! Staff were rushed off their feet with it being the busy festive season, but they breezed through it effortlessly. Thanks everyone!
Been to zizis Derby multiple times the General manager is lovely. She’s lovely on the floor and on this occasion was in the kitchen and food was amazing. I love the way she speaks to her staff seems really nice and genuine! Also shout out to Adriana the service was great!
Fantastic experience at Zizzi Intu Derby today with my husband and son. I am coeliac and was reassured by their allergen knowledge and processes from the very start of our time there. The menu is easy to navigate online and there were lots different options available, including the most amazing chocolate melt dessert. We were served by Zoe and she was so friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and was just the right level of being attentive. In summary, lovely restaurant, gorgeous food and super service.
Absolutely lovely time whenever I visit on my own or with the family (including the children). The staff are always welcoming, friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have an exceptional time. The food is always on point, service absolutely excellent and the prices are just right for what it is. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quite nice plus you get to watch your food being made... Today we had the lovely Zoe and Lacey serving us, the ladies were absolutely lovely and quite attentive. They even stopped and had a chat with the children. I come here so much Zoe remembers my order (which is custom) so that's also a bonus to show they take the time to know there regulars also. Love it here. X
Food was good value for money, staff friendly and attentive. No fish dishes as supply issues. Drinks prices OK. The pasta dish needed a bit more sauce as a bit dry. The platter was good. One thing I did not like was at payment time how we felt pressured into giving a tip as I am happy to tip but do not like when it's all most rammed at you with by a member of staff and the card payment machine. The restaurant is looking like it needs re decorating as looks a bit shabby in places.
Very impressed with this particular Zizzi. I’ve had Zizzi’s a couple of times in the past and always felt really underwhelmed by the food and disgusted by the price for what you got. But last night I was really happy with the portion sizes (you got tons of garlic bread!) and the food was incredibly tasty. Very nice, relaxed atmosphere. I think I’d definitely come again! The whole family were very happy and we all left with full bellies! Also if you are a student, you get 20% off the bill. I don’t know if this is a permanent thing but definitely worth a mention for students trying to save a bit of money. So check your UNIDAYS app and bring in your student card.
My partner and I enjoy Zizzi dished a lot, and wherever we go in the UK, we definitely go to their Zizzi branch first. But most of the time we visit The Derby branch as we live there and I think it is the only place we have ever had a problem with. Firstly , because there is only one branch in this city, it is very difficult to book a table even in the weekdays! And if we don't have a booking in advance, even if they have some empty tables, they won't let us in. In many other branches, at least 3 to 5 tables are assigned to those who come without a booking to accommodate the needs of their customers. Secondly, in this branch, the handling of orders that are done through the QR code is very poor! Sometimes there is more than 40 minutes waiting time between the starter and the main meal and we have to ask the waiters again. On our last visit, ont only they totally forgot about one of our main dishes, but also the dessert that was on the menu and I had placed my order at the same time as the rest of the customers, was ignored and the last dessert was given to another customer. The waitress asked us to change our dessert with only an apology!!! In my opinion, this service is very poor and it is not good for the reputation of Zizzi. Please either eliminate taking online orders through the QR code or take care of the orders on time!
First time visiting today, the food was gorgeous and the staff were just as lovely. Will definitely visit again and I'd highly recommend.
