“Attractive venue just a short way from the front and so much more interesting than the franchise offerings. Menu offers a good range of interesting dishes, all with a twist at a very reasonable price. The "115 Thing" a dish of ox tail stew with sausage and mustard mash was outstanding. Puddings were also very good and service was efficient and friendly. This small restaurant is very well worth a visit, and very good value for money.”

“I must say, this place is a hidden gem in Liverpool. The owners, Christian and Saroja, are truly amazing, and the food was absolutely incredible. The Tiramisu was the best I have ever eaten since I last had it in Milan near the Duomo. The cartoccio fillings with chicken and mushroom was really amazing !! The ambiance is superb, making it a must-visit Italian restaurant in Liverpool. If you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine, this place near Lark Lane and Sefton Park is a must-visit. It is just 10 to 15 minutes away from the city center.”

“We ordered a lockdown takeaway for my birthday and it was really tasty! It was so nice to be able to eat proper restaurant food after weeks of home cooking. I have been craving seafood, so I ordered three starters - king prawns, calamari and clams - and it was more than enough food! My boyfriend had a main with chips and veg and had enough left for his lunch the next day. Highly recommend!”

“we hired the outback pizza company for a birthday party with around 110 guests, they were very professional and the pizza's were amazing, all the guests commented on the quality of the food. They also catered for all our guests dietary requirements including gluten free and vegan. I would have no hesitation in booking them again and recommending to friends and family.”

“Cannot praise Casa Carlos enough. Right from being greeted by the lovely Sophia the atmosphere was second to none. Feeling relaxing, comfortable and at home it took me back to my many times abroad visiting tapas bars certainly could have been anywhere but Wigan Town centre. We were offered drinks then later ordered our food at no time did we feel rushed and our personal requests were taken into consideration with no fuss. Oh my days the food was delicious and presented so well and good portions compliments to Callum the chef perfection on a plate! Deserts were delicious almost too nice to eat as they were presented so well. As we wrapped up our dining experience we all agreed we would definately be returning . “Maracanã, Marcanã, what a place, I would reccomend on my life that you go here. Don't let the scaffolding on the outside fool you, this small, Brazilian sports bar to have a drink and a or a meal. It had a great selection of Brazilian food, and dont be afraid to ask the bar tender what he'd reccomend from his home land. This bar kitchen is a great place to have a meal, drink eat and watch some sports! And dont be afraid of the hot sauce! It wont hurt you. Try it with the rib pasty and some authentic south American beer. Also there is live music on a friday for you live music fans, if you like world food or are just looking for something new, give it a try, I'd certainly recommend, and ask the bar tender about the authentic food too. TLDR eat and drink here , I would reccomend the rib pasty with a authentic beer and the hot sauce. Would recommend =)”

“Lovely little restaurant with friendly staff, great service and good food. We went for dinner as part of a little pre Christmas trip to Chester. The small plates were delightful. We had the focaccia, meatball and fried lasagna. Every item was lovely… and I’ve definitely been inspired to deep fry my lasagna in future! We had the onglet, bhaji burger and broccoli tagliatelle for mains. The onglet was delightful, but I didn’t regret my choice (the tagliatelle). The mango ketchup that came with the bhaji burger was too sweet for us, but I’m sure it would have suit those who have a sweeter palate. If we had extra stomach space, I would have loved to try the lasagna (because the fried version was so nice!) Nothing wrong with the dessert per se, but they were the weakest course… which was a little odd. The chocolate crème brûlée was fine but nothing to write home about … while the sticky toffee pudding was not the right texture for me. The coffees were delightful though!! Overall, this was a good find! I’d love to go back during the day and try their brunch - the Malaysian in me is intrigued by the chai tow kway & paratha (the description is that for chai tow kway so not sure where the paratha comes in, but I wanna try it!!)”

“I recently visited Il Capitano’s Restaurant along with the attached Bar Bolina, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience from start to finish. The pizzas were the standout—fresh, flavourful, and generously sized, all at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere across both the restaurant and the bar is warm and welcoming, made even better by the genuinely friendly staff. Everyone we interacted with was attentive and upbeat, helping create a relaxed and enjoyable evening for our whole group. A special mention has to go to Evie, who looked after us exceptionally well. She was attentive without being intrusive, quick to help with anything we needed, and made sure our group felt completely taken care of. Her service truly elevated the experience.
