“Really enjoyed our meal. Attended with my niece, daughter and grandchildren. Staff were really friendly and took the time to ask where we were from, and interacted with the grandchildren. Food was good and delivered swiftly. Price very reasonable averaging around £20 a head. Located on main high street so cannot park straight outside, but only a five minute to the car. Well worth a visit.”

“Great place to stay if you are planning a visit to local tourist attractions - e.g., Rufford Hall - or fancy a weekend break in beautiful countryside. The hotel is a relatively new build whose exterior has been carefully designed to be in keeping with the local properties, but with a modern look and feel inside. I am not sure if there is a lift to reach the first floor where the rooms are located. We had to use stairs, and what this meant for people with limited mobility or accessibility needs did occur to me. The bedrooms are a good size, with a comfortable bed. The only downside we had with the room was the temperature. With the increasingly warm weather we have been having, and we stayed on a hot day, the absence of air con was noticeable. This is clearly a popular venue for locals as well as hotel guests which is always a good sign. The staff were wonderful, feels like it may be family run? Breakfast was amazing! Have the full English because the sausages and bacon (I suspect) were locally sourced and delicious! Thank you!”

“I'm giving Nicks at Turton Goft Club 5 stars despite not actually eating there. We'd booked in but it was the evening that it snowed quiet heavily so only some of us reached it as it's situated on the tops in the open, and as it continued snowing we decided to leave and re- book. However, the menus looked great, see attached photos, and Nick himself greeted us and offered to drive us to the back to the restaurant if we wanted to leave our cars at the end of the lane, however, we declined as not all of us have made it there. Nick was very warm and friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be booking again.”

“Another fabulous dinner at The White Horse. You can tell the ingredients are of a high quality and the food is prepared with appreciation and great attention to detail. The flavours are stunning and each dish seasoned to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the evening. A very well run establishment and deserves to do so well. The drive to and from The White Horse is beautiful. Make it your destination soon for some delicious food.”

“My food was really good, I got a spicy beef pasta that had Villa Romana in the name. I had a dessert from the dessert trolley too. Tiramisu! It was good but also £7.85. The service was quick and atmosphere was pretty relaxed. Main, Dessert and Soft Drink was just under £30”

“We visited as a group of 14 for a hen party on a busy Friday evening. Zeytin helped with our booking, pre orders, allowed us to decorate our table with balloons and accessories and gave our bride to be a fabulous welcome. The food was delicious, service was first class and nothing was too much trouble. All 14 starters and main meals came out seamlessly and staff were attentive with drinks. “Gluten Free Dream… had its own menu fully colour coded. Staff knew what was going on with allergens and brought food out saying gluten free and my name which was very reassuring. Delicious food and quality didn’t seem to be impacted even though we had 20 people in the party and it was a fully booked restaurant. Will look forward to venturing back!”

“Had a lovely evening after a last minute decision to eat out and chose Kurdina. Despite being busy, and us having no booking, the staff quickly separated off a table and seated us. Good choice on the menu. We started with garlic bread to share followed by lasagna and the salmon steak. Both were excellent and we finished off with the vanilla cheesecake which was just divine. The restaurant was immaculate and there was a great atmosphere with families and birthday parties happening. A good mix of casual and formal diners so go in jeans or wear a dress, neither is out of place. Total cost was just £60 which included a bottle of wine.”

“Al Dente Restaurant We had dinner at Al Dente last night, and I highly recommend booking a table in advance, as the restaurant is quite popular. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, with a lively yet comfortable ambiance. Food & Drinks The menu offers a great selection of dishes. I ordered the sirloin steak (medium-rare)—it was flavorful, though slightly chewy in some parts. We also tried the lamb with mashed potatoes, which was incredibly tender and full of rich flavor. For pasta lovers, we sampled the Carbonara—delicious, creamy, and very filling (we couldn’t even finish the whole portion!). The shrimp pasta was equally tasty and satisfying, making it a great choice for seafood enthusiasts. Service & Overall Experience The service truly stood out. The waitstaff were attentive, polite, and knowledgeable, helping us choose dishes and making sure we had a great dining experience. Their attention to detail added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. If you're looking for a delicious Mediterranean dining experience in a warm and welcoming setting, Al Dente is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!”

“One of my favourite and go-to dining places in Liverpool. Elif never fails (for me). Meats are so flavourful, absolutely delicious especially eaten with their butter rice — so good. Always a satisfying visit. Whenever I have visitors to Liverpool I would take them there and my visitors are always impressed. They love it so much.”
