   Will definitely go again. Didn’t quite understand the ‘small plates’ at first and was thinking maybe a sort of wholesome Welsh countryside version of tapas. We basically used it as a traditional menu per person with some sharing a large main (starter/ main with side/ dessert) - my main plate was a good size meal, others ordered sides of homemade chips etc and everyone was full without dessert. If you have a massive appetite you could order more at any point or extra sides. Presentation was hit and miss (gorgeous pate/ very plain looking focaccia, some plates were exchanged for full size on the ‘main’ (perfect if you like your food all together), others left with used tiny plates (breadcrumb used - dirties taken). I had the braised beef on a highly recommended mash.. unique and absolutely five star produce, cooking and flavour. Staff were lovely and children welcome, with freshly made spag bol, goujons and fish fingers on offer. Not spacious, but a small number of tables and the fire was lit - enjoyable atmosphere. No rush on the table despite booking early sitting. Can’t see anyone being disappointed with the value for money - high calibre food at reasonable restaurant prices. We spent around £40pp including a couple of drinks or more each, starter, main with side (would have been small amount extra with dessert). Very impressed overall.

   Incredible! One of the best culinary experiences I have had in North Wales. Food was gorgeous and reasonably priced and with good portions. Staff were attentive without being obtrusive and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done.

   High quality food served in a traditional yet contemporary pub setting with a nice relaxed atmosphere. The friendly and accommodating staff advised on portions and recommendations. The menu changes daily and consists of small plates served tapas style as and when the kitchen sends them out freshly prepared. We ordered something from the nibbles/starters section and two small plates per person and this was more than enough. Home made crisp served whilst waiting for the nibbles were delicious and a nice touch. Winning mix of-great food, good value and friendly staff. Will return (soon I hope).

   This was a highlight of our North Wales trip! It is tucked away but truly worth the trip out. We arrived early and enjoyed some drinks on the cute patio. Food was incredible- the best mussels I’ve ever had. Fantastic service and gorgeous decor. Will be back next time I make a trip out to Wales!

   Another fabulous dinner at The White Horse. You can tell the ingredients are of a high quality and the food is prepared with appreciation and great attention to detail. The flavours are stunning and each dish seasoned to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the evening. A very well run establishment and deserves to do so well. The drive to and from The White Horse is beautiful. Make it your destination soon for some delicious food.

   Such a cosy restaurant with lovely atmosphere and great food. Some of the food could have done with a bit more seasoning in my opinion (mainly the duck dish) but it was a fantastic meal nonetheless and I will be returning again at some point.

   I have been lucky enough to eat here several times and it is the best kept secret in the area. The food is always exceptional with fresh products and an ever changing menu to represent what is not only seasonal but fresh and excellent at that moment in time. The service is very good with very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. I suspect if this place was in a more populated area it would be overrun but tucked away in the valley it manages to strike a perfect balance.
