“Snips Movies is a great place, not only if you want to rent or buy movies, but also for their wide range of very reasonably priced cards. I’m in there frequently and I always find the proprietor very good to do business with. One example of this occurred today (Fri 27/6/2025): the previous day I had bought an 80th birthday card but couldn’t find it when I got home; I thought I must have dropped it somewhere and lost it. So today I returned, intending to buy another identical card; however as soon as I walked into the shop the proprietor said “You left your card behind!” and handed me the card. Wasn’t that good?! At the very least he’s as honest as the day is long, and has a brilliant memory…”
“Staff are lovely an the place is immaculate. Food was good an so were the drinks. Only thing i would change is i wish they had a draught cider!”
“Family run and family friendly venue for the authentic American diner and drive in experience. Book your tickets online, turn up, tune your radio in to their radio frequency, enjoy a fun game of bingo, sit back, relax and enjoy a variety of current movies and classics from the comfort of your own car... Lights, camera, and... ACTION!!!”
“Brilliant place to visit the cinema or to take in some contemporary art. I usually come here to watch old films and there are plenty of seasons of movies from certain directors and genres etc. Lovely staff and a fab environment away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cinema chains.”
“We go to the showcase weekly. The people who work there are absolutely lovely and so helpful and knowledgeable. Danielle, in particular, is great. I’m disappointed to see that she’s no longer on the desk and there is a self serve screen to use instead. Nobody likes faffing around with self serve in the cinema. It’s the main reason we don’t go to the Odeon at Switch Island; it’s annoying, takes longer and removes the human connection that makes the Showcase different to other cinemas. As well as Danielle, the security guard (I don’t know his name sorry) is really helpful and knowledgeable about the films being shown. Every other member of staff has always been really helpful and nice too. The people who work there are what differentiates the Showcase from other cinemas. I could stay home and stream a film or I can go to the Showcase and talk to nice, interesting people who always go the extra mile and can discuss a film with us. There are bigger cinemas, posher cinemas, cheaper cinemas, etc but the people who work there are what makes the Showcase stand out. Thank you”
“Oto tłumaczenie na angielski: I went to see Depeche Mode with my husband. The cinema was clean, the food was good, the queues were short, and getting there was easy.”
“Easily the cleanest cinema in Liverpool. Facilities were nice and the bathrooms were kept to a good standard. We are considering getting unlimited and making this our regular venue as Odeon keeps increasing prices.”
“We went to watch wicked for good this afternoon, i was blown away at how wonderful Adam was, he went above & beyond for my daughter who has many additional needs. you made the experience so amazing and you really made her an extremeley happy girl. I really cannot thank you enough Adam your kindness, patience and understanding. You are a credit to odeon liverpool one.”
“Steve and Jenny are very friendly and welcoming!”
“Boss experience. Staff were really helpful guiding you through your first time, and it was easy to pick up yourself once you start. The games were great. Plenty of free parking outside and we had turned up in mid-Jan so thought it might be cold in there but it was fine. Deffo be going back again.”
“Bijou is a lovely place to just come and see the films on, or if you are having a function. We had a birthday party, and Andy was very accommodating for helping us sort out where our outside catering would go, DJ, arranging the tables to allow a dance floor area, arranging the downstairs area to allow a sweet and cake cart. And they have a good range of drinks available on tap upstairs or bottle/cans downstairs.”
“Been here twice in a few days, to see the short films in the World Ocean Festival and to see the Coral film and Q&A. Love this place! Great community enterprise with incredibly helpful and friendly volunteers/ staff who made each visit an absolute pleasure. There’s limited parking adjacent to the cinema, which was ideal when I came with my mum who has some mobility issues. Comfy reclining seats downstairs were also an unexpected bonus! Lovely 1930s/ art deco vibe inside with lots of plush redness and classic film posters. Will defo be back again soon ❤️”

“Phenomenal show at this amazing venue. Went to see The Scouse Christmas carol which was very well staged with live musicians on stage and brilliantly funny actors..set me up for Christmas. Good bar area and balcony and an area for coffees etc too.”
“Beautiful theatre with excellent facilities and really friendly helpful staff. A brilliant show too!”
“Surprisingly good. Good view of the screen. Good sound, not too loud like other cinemas. Very warm when we first got there but soon cooled down, very pleasant then. Apart from a group taking through most of the film, highly recommend this cinema. And the prices of drinks and sweets very reasonable. Down side - cash only”
“Amazing food, served fresh and hot. I can see why they have been awarded best fish and chips! Highly recommend!”
“Enjoyable evening at Picturehouse watching Oscar-winner "Anora". Modern "concrete-with-everything" design in foyer with comfy couches to sit on in theatre. All topped off with helpful friendly staff. Close to Bold St if you fancy food before or after the film. Good night out all-round!”
“A group of 8 of us went and had a fantastic evening, The food was exceptional very tasty and of good sized portions. Only thing that let it down was we wasn't able to all sit at one table, we were next to each other but slightly apart . I thought it let our experience down a little but on a whole we had a great evening. Tom Hengler”
“They have the most comfortable seats of any cinema. Plenty of leg room. I found it a bit cool but, didn't spoil the enjoyment of the film.”
“We recently ran a conference for 80 people in the Garret Theatre at Storyhouse Chester, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The venue was modern, welcoming and perfectly equipped for a professional event, with great acoustics and a flexible layout that worked really well for our programme. The team at Storyhouse were brilliant throughout, friendly, organised and always on hand to help. Everything ran smoothly, and our delegates were really impressed with both the space and the service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality venue in Chester. Welsh Dee Trust”
“Great cinema, some great films/musicals been shown and very reasonably priced. Love the £5 movies too”
“I stayed in Cellb for a night in June while travelling around north-west Wales. The owners were very helpful and communicative, and accommodating when I had problems getting the code for the door thanks to technical issues on my side. The place itself is clean, comfortable, and has a nice vibe - they obviously do a lot of good things with the building as well as the hostel, and the rooms are comfortable, there is a living room and a kitchen available as well. Also, the showers are good. The location is brilliant, right up against the mountains at the edge of the town. And Blaenau Ffestiniog itself is a gorgeous place - the mountains, the town, the people, the whole feeling of the place. I wouldn't hesitate the recommend Blaenau Ffestiniog or Cellb. Diolch yn fawr iawn i chi!”
“Have my piano lessons here great teacher great staff and there's a great cinema.”
“Cineworld Broughton is hands down one of the best spots for a movie night in the area! The highlight has to be the 4D cinema experience – it’s next-level. The moving seats, wind, scents, and effects really pull you into the action. Makes watching a film feel like an adventure! The cinema itself is spacious, clean, and well-kept. There’s plenty of parking too, so no stress about finding a spot, even on busy weekends. Loads of food options nearby if you want to grab a bite before or after your movie. Perfect place for families, date nights, or just catching the latest blockbuster with mates. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t tried the 4D yet – it’s a game changer!”
“We were so unbelievably happy with the service provided by Victor and Seda on our wedding day. They were both friendly and professional and captured all the important details as well as some of the little things you forget about, we knew we could trust them to do an amazing job. They supported us not only on the day itself but have been great and responsive throughout our journey. We’re really impressed with our videos that we received and we got them back well within the expected timeframe. We would definitely recommend using Cat Film Services!!”
“We did a small concert there a couple of years ago and it was great, it's a wonderful place, brilliant staff and a great cinema”
