“We are at the hotel next to this bar and we'd looked at coming in last night but went into the centre. We had dinner at Pho and didn't want to venture too far and thought we'd pop in and we're so pleased we did! Aaron took care of us all night, we had delicious cocktails and made us feel very special for our anniversary. The venue is fab with a great vibe, the team are very friendly and it's great value for money given the quality of the drinks being served. Shame we don't live here because we'd be regulars!”

“We go to the showcase weekly. The people who work there are absolutely lovely and so helpful and knowledgeable. Danielle, in particular, is great. I’m disappointed to see that she’s no longer on the desk and there is a self serve screen to use instead. Nobody likes faffing around with self serve in the cinema. It’s the main reason we don’t go to the Odeon at Switch Island; it’s annoying, takes longer and removes the human connection that makes the Showcase different to other cinemas. As well as Danielle, the security guard (I don’t know his name sorry) is really helpful and knowledgeable about the films being shown. Every other member of staff has always been really helpful and nice too. The people who work there are what differentiates the Showcase from other cinemas. I could stay home and stream a film or I can go to the Showcase and talk to nice, interesting people who always go the extra mile and can discuss a film with us. There are bigger cinemas, posher cinemas, cheaper cinemas, etc but the people who work there are what makes the Showcase stand out. Thank you”

“We booked onto the bungee dance class with Charlotte as fun activity to start a hen do weekend. She was an absolutely brilliant teacher, catered for all abilities and we had a fantastic time. Can’t recommend enough if you want to try something new!”

“This was an absolutely astounding experience from start to finish. We were greeted and seated by Annabelle who was delightful, the vibe was immaculate, the decor achingly cool, the drinks menu was an experience in itself and I ordered Death in the Afternoon which will blow your head off! The entertainment was mind blowing, the service was impeccable and I cannot rate this place highly enough. A really unique experience in Liverpool not to be missed!”

“Beautiful selection of cocktails in this wee cozy nook that is The Royal Institution Bar with Owen and Damien who made me feel like at home. I started with the Head(less) A well-balanced drink that consists of Rye Whiskey, Ardbeg Wee Beastie, Courvoisier, Apricot, Smoked Tea Syrup, and Lemon Foam. I also had the Raku, a really interesting cocktail that uses a local miso + coffee infused gin by Turncoat with a hint of chocolate and orange bitters. Delightful!”

“Held my 40th Birthday Party at the old courts last week. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was. It has real atmosphere. Michelle the host was super attentive and helped me sort out a bar tab for first drinks and a cocktail for the night. It was all very laid back and easy to deal with them - no drama. I was particularly pleased when they cut the cake into pieces for me - not a job I was looking forward to. The whole team were fab, friendly and helpful. It is so cheap to hire too! I’d definitely recommend.”

“Wow found this gem of a pub away from the mental packed bars of the Liverpool streets this place I was not sure it was open but to my delight it sure was I was like oh my check this place out it was shape. Like a boat inside very clean very good also the freindly bar staff were more than happy to serve also selling Everton t shirts plus other Everton stuff this boozer has character I was like so happy when I come across this after a long day getting steps in if your a tourist give it a shout .”

“We happened upon this venue by pure luck! We had seen an advert for a Blues Brothers Show and bought tickets, not knowing what to expect. And we were both pleasantly surprised. The Show was a touring Westerdale show, which, for me, highlights the quality of the venue to support their set and equipment. The show was fantastic. The staff on the bar and coffee stand very curtious. Prices for refreshments were a great price. What made it even more special was the audience, great local characters, and shared local stories during intervals. By the second part, everyone was up dancing and leaving, having made new friends. We are now on the mailing list, so we don't miss any great shows in the future and having spoken with locals, now we are on a couple more venue mailing lists. Lovely building, some original and beautiful decor. We give it 10/10”

“Never been before - loved it. It is also accessible which was great for me. I'm not sure if there's a ramp somewhere but I could manage a few steps to get in and then I had access to a lift. Staff helpful and lovely.”

“Was a bit disappointed when I initially got there, carpark followed by a huge expanse of grass, lots of people with dogs, walked through the park came across the ground for Everton womens football club, then on to a small lake, wasn't best impressed, went on to the bigger lake, what an absolute gem of a lake, this definitely redeemed the park, highly recommend you park as close to the lake as you can and have a look, I'll definitely be going back”
