Had a couple of drinks in here. Very reasonable in price and friendly service. I'm not a big heavy rock fan but when we went in the music wasn't deafening so quite enjoyed it.

The room was a little in need of a makeover. The knobbly bit on the end of the bed was held on with tape. The shower was very loose on the wall.the pillows were very thin. Having said that the staff were very nice and helpful and even though we only had bar snacks the food was very good. A nice pint of real ale as well.

Great place for stay or just for drink. Excellent food. Even if you are not fan of rock that place is nice for everyone. Staff is friendly and helpful. Accommodation bit unusual but clean, comfy and cosy. And food exceptional… everything home made tasty for a great price. Try Sunday roast selection or them burger Mega Stag you will not forget that experience for long. Breakfast good price for something very tasty.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at The Saddle Inn, Chester on Friday night and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was brilliant – relaxed, unpretentious, and full of friendly faces. Styled as a proper rock bar, the whole place has a unique charm. Our room was the β€œSlayer” room – spotless, fun, and full of character with drums as bedside tables and a guitar on the wall. After checking in, we headed back down for drinks (very reasonably priced) and some food. The food was absolutely beautiful – cooked to perfection, presented with care, and tasted amazing. We loved it so much we went back for food two days in a row! The vibe of the bar is second to none, and meeting the lovely owner really showed how much passion goes into the place. We even got to meet her two gorgeous French bulldogs, which was a bonus as we have one at home too. An amazing rock bar with a brilliant atmosphere, great food, and unique rooms. When we’re next in Chester, we’ll 100% be staying at The Saddle Inn again.

Great service, friendly, helpful and welcoming both when we arrived and at breakfast the next day. Everyone was brilliant and could not have been better. Room was different and unusual, but needed a bit of TLC. Great pub- lively and atmospheric. Β£150 for a night was a lot, all things considered, but maybe prices were higher as it was race weekend.

Visited The Saddle Inn who reserved us a table to watch England play. What a fantastic experience (apart from the football). The food was amazing really hot and tasty. The team of staff were all superb, with the detail being second to none. A great place to visit for food, accommodation and especially entertainment with a late night bar. Highly recommend a visit when in Chester.

Brilliant night with a fantastic band at the Saddle. It was absolutely packed in there and not much space to move around but that should be expected in a rock bar. The sound system was good and the band were excellent, will definitely come again when they are back. Drinks were nice, cocktails available also. Nice big beer garden area with screens to watch bands on, fully covered and heated so can be used in all weather. Staff were very nice and helpful and security staff were absolutely on the ball. Didn't stay in the hotel, just went to watch the band but a friend of mine was that night and said his room was amazingly decorated.

A very lovely, but we'll staffed bar means that you will never be kept waiting more than a few minutes. Even on a Saturday night. A venue well known for having great live rock bands on. If this is your scene, no other bar in the area can compete. I am 50, and attended with my 19yr old daughter. She's been a rocker since birth, so neither of us felt out of place. Will definitely be going again

We stayed at this local 200 year old Rock Bar Inn to explore Chester. It's location is really close to the centre and prices were reasonable. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was totally unexpected. In fact we have had worse service at 5 star hotels, and the staff especially the owner went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Food wise, its not just pub grub prepared by a cook, but restaurant quality prepared by a chef - and you can really tell. Totally unexpected. As a rock pub the decor was really good, and they had live rock music playing - who were really good. Rooms wise, each room is themed and have guitars in the rooms, and styled to a different rock artist. Some of the rooms needed a bit of TLC; but, for the price, location, quality of the food and staff quality, really not a biggy. Would happy stay here again.
