“Excellent experience tonight with my wife and 2 daughters. Food is excellent as well as the service. Not our local so was apprehensive, found Panchi via tastecard. Made the 30 min journey and have to say will be back. What stands out is they control the heat of their dishes. I've had 2 stars spice in other places and it's blew the head of me. Tonight the spice level was controlled really well. Decent prices as well even better with a tastecard. Parking can be a pain but there is a big car park about 4 minute walk just around the corner and it's free.”

“We booked Cancello for a family pre Christmas get together for 16 people. Booking was straightforward and they asked us to pre order starters and mains the week before. On arty the welcome was warm and the table prepared perfectly. Everyone’s individual choice was spot on and the quality of the food exceptional. We had 3 young children and a baby in our group, and the staff were lovely towards them. A great venue, lovely atmosphere and superb food. Highly recommended.”

“Just had an incredible experience with the XO fried rice from my go-to Chinese restaurant. The aroma that filled the room when I opened the container was mouthwatering. The rice itself was perfectly cooked—not too dry and not too sticky. The XO sauce, with its rich umami flavor, was distributed evenly, giving each bite a bold, savory kick. Generous chunks of shrimp, char siu pork, and vegetables added wonderful texture and flavor. The balance of ingredients was spot-on, making every mouthful a delightful mix of tastes and textures. A truly satisfying dish that hits all the right notes. Highly recommend!”

“We ordered a take away from their website while on the way home from work. We'd had a busy day and just needed a chilled night. I'm ridiculously fussy, and my partner and I run a restaurant so are picky. The food arrived early. We had salt and pepper chips; chicken fried rice; crispy beef and sweet and sour chicken. Oh my. I've literally never had Chinese food like it. It was clean, you could taste every individual flavour; it was delicious. The delivery driver was really lovely too. My other half suggested it as he's been once before for a collection, and he noted how clean their business is. Absolutely gorgeous food, excellent service and highly recommended. Thank you xx”

“I've had Donner and Chips from this place a few times now, by far the best I've had in the area. No issue with portion size, tastes really good. Love the red salt (I think) seasoned fries as standard, fresh salad always served separately. Tonight thought I'd give the Pizza a try as they are pretty lacking at other places. Had a 12 inch Mexican with a tub of garlic mayo, wow what can I say, plenty toppings and cooked perfectly. Owners seem like genuinely nice people and you can tell from the quality of food they want to provide a good takeaway. 100% recommend giving this place a try.”

“Best chippy around for miles. Never visit the chippy but this one is a real treat and we use it often. The fish served is huge and fresh and you just can’t fault it, the chips are cooked to perfection and the gravy is delicious. The proprietor is serving a tremendous treat.”

“When i first moved to St helens just over a year ago I ordered from here, the food hasn't changed all year, I've ordered about 5 or 6 times and it has never failed to disappoint! The burgers are top notch! The sides are fantastic! The value for money is second to none!! Super friendly delivery service who also told me to keep an eye out for their spicy honey chicken tenders! From here I can only imagine they're going to be fantastic!! 5* on every level!!”

“Visited this restaurant for a meal with the family. It was a beautiful cush setting, rather cosy if you will and felt very homely. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Their generosity knows no bounds. The food was fresh and mouthwateringly delicious, the selections they have were absolutely divine. I, for one, will highly recommend locals to visit this brilliant establishment. If you love an old school curry made with heart and Bengal devotion, then this is the only place to be.”

“Extremely small place, very cramped! 4 small tables with limited seating. Very clean, bright and modern. Quickly fills as it seems very popular. Staff went above and beyond to help me order, being super friendly and helpful. Portion sizes are very generous and steaming hot when served or packed for takeaway. Signature Satay Squid Skewer: the sauce was spicy and nutty, and the squid was chewy and smooth. Pork in Cantonese Sauce with rice: the large portion of pork was cooked well; not too tough, but with some bite, and smothered in the Cantonese Sauce with a sufficient amount of sticky rice to soak it up with. The sauce was sweet, sticky and plentiful. Overall, very satisfying food and a generous amount of it.”

“We were looking for a Chinese and found Hong Liang. Just note they ONLY TAKE CASH, so take some. They are very reasonable and the food was amazing and big portions.....the ladies were absolutely lovely too. Absolutely go here as you won’t be disappointed. We had mixed curry with salt & pepper chips, salt & pepper chicken, special chop suey and sweet and sour chicken. Stunning! Absolute recommend it”

“My puppy and I visited here on a long walk and oh my gosh the hospitality!!! Anna saw us looking particularly lost and showed us to the garden area. We were then extremely well looked after. Anna provided us with cushions and an umbrella (to block the sun) and the young helpful lad inside got us both a drink. We were looked after so unbelievably well. I’ve honestly never received such an incredible level of hospitality and appreciate it so much. We felt so welcome. Your team who we met were absolutely outstanding, especially Anna. “Called in for something to eat for tea whilst staying nearby. It was a very nicely done out pub, not particularly busy at the time we arrived. We ordered on the app, drinks arrived promptly and as we were seated near the kitchen area, we had a good view of the food being prepared and served to various other diners. Our food arrived pretty quickly and the young lad that served us was very attentive, popping by the table to check all was OK. We recommend this pub to family we were visiting the next day in Wigan.”
