   Best chippy around for miles. Never visit the chippy but this one is a real treat and we use it often. The fish served is huge and fresh and you just can’t fault it, the chips are cooked to perfection and the gravy is delicious. The proprietor is serving a tremendous treat.

   Steak Pudding and Chips. I really liked the rich, soft pudding. The chips were excellent and a decent portion size with a good amount of salt and vinegar. Exactly the kind of food expected from a proper chippy and great quality. Fast, efficient service by friendly staff. A clean, modern place. Quiet around lunchtime.

   £3 for a large chips and this is what you get. Yes the cost of living has risen, but so do the prices. Pure greed. The chips were not good, lots were hard and tasted raw, and they were stupidly greasy. Everything we had was greasy. We won’t be back!

   Called in for 2 fish n chips, £14.80. Won't be calling again , fish n chips was very nice, it's the price , once fish n chips was a cheap meal , now it's not here.

   Always friendly staff. Good menu at reasonable prices. A popular place to eat. I used to visit at least once a week with Grandchildren after swimming. More often it's hubby now yet when I visited after a break, I was recognised and made to feel very welcome. The owner asked about the grandchildren as he remembered them too. Our favourite chippy.

   Really lovely female manager. We had a good chat. People in hospitality work really bloody hard, make sure you bear that in mind when you're using their services! Bloody fantastic tea by the way, best chippy in Newton by far.
