“Brilliant staff, very quick service and fantastic food! 2 tapas for £8 or 3 for £12 - very reasonably priced; especially for the quality. Pictures are ham croquettes, forest chicken and fish goujons. Would highly recommend all 3!”

“We went for a meal the service was amazing. As was the food we went for a banquet my starter was huuuge and the amount of meat was amazing also the quality of the meat! I enjoyed the tamarind sauce and they kindly gave me another 1 ! I have been a few times with him also with friends. What i thought was lovely was the lady Nas remembered us and the chef came out to say hello. We are already planning to go back next week! I would highly recommend this restaurant!”

“Top notch restaurant! Absolutely amazing food there, well presented, served hot and sometimes cooked at table. Place itself is well decorated and appointed. Nice lighting and vibe. Lots of seating, from 2 seat tables to full large booths and tables. Food was exceptional! Was really impressed. Had the popadum starter with a huge variety of chutneys and sauces. The slightly hot and sweet chilli was best but mango was good too. My partner had the chicken masala which was tasty and my lamb bhuna was very tasty indeed! Partner had a salmon starter and i had a kofta, these were serves sizzling in a hot dish and the flavour was first class. Will definitely be going again! Reasonable prices too, especially wed and thurs as i think is two for one. Bargain! Really good service too but beware, no desserts, was hoping for a pallette cleansing kulfi, lol.”

“We came here as a group of 7 for Sunday lunch. Alice was attentive and explained the menu to us. The lunch menu is really good value for me and the portion sizes are good. There's parking around the streets but they aren't far from rhe restaurant. We'd come back here as there's lots to try on the menu.”

“Every time we visit Southport (2 or 3 times a year) we make a point of coming to Empire. The quality of the food never fluctuates. It always remains of a high grade and tastes so good every time. The duck is just amazing and the randang curries full of flavour. Treated like individuals every time, even keeping a drink for us that isn't on the menu. “I love this place! The location is great, right in the heart of town and multiple options for shopping and food nearby. I’m in a studio room by myself. Although this hotel is in the busy part of town, because the windows are triple glazed it is very quiet in the rooms. It is small but very well equipped with a big fridge and cooking facilities. Complete set of pans and dishes, which is great for eating leftovers. . There is plenty of storage and hanging space. The air conditioner works great as it’s pretty warm at the moment. I had breakfast for the first time and it was really good. Nice cooked breakfast with cereals, fruits, selection of cheeses and meats. The staff here are very helpful and friendly! I liked this place so much that I booked a return trip here in a few months!”

“Our entire stay was beyond fabulous! We were fortunate enough to get an early check in, which truly helped traveling with a 5 year old. Madison was a delight at the front desk. The room was quaint but really nice. Not a lot of space for 3 large suitcases but we made due. The location is amazing. The view of Derby Square, great. And being in the heart of everything made exploring fantastic and easy. The shower and towel warning rack were awesome too! We had breakfast there the first morning and it was really good. Overall a wonderful experience! We will be back!”

“Stayed for one night as a party of four dropping off a niece to university. Where to start….. fantastic value for money. It’s a hidden gem for the price. We met Laura on reception and Sam who works in the office, these two girls were the most welcoming, down to earth girls we have ever met working in hospitality. They made us feel right at home and took the time to answer all our questions and gave us great advice and tips for our stay in Liverpool. Blew away by their friendliness, they both made our day and because of the whole experience staying here, we cannot wait to come back again. Thank you girls, yous are diamonds. Left the premier suites with a hug from both….. cannot rate highly enough.”

A good stage area and a decent sound system. (Although the basic bar PA isn’t all that) outside drinking area, and portaloo ‘facilities’ still, well worth a visit,”
