Mmm. Empire Chinese of Southport, visit it I did. Hungry, I was. Satisfied, I became. Dishes many, flavours bold. Sweet-and-sour that balance well, it does. Crispy beef? Crispier than a Wookieeβs morning temper, yes. Rice fluffy, noodles long and strong with the Force. Staff? Warm they are, like twin suns on Tatooine. Service swiftβfaster than a Padawan late for training. Ordering takeaway, you may. Hot the food arrives, fragrant the aromas are. Disappoint, it will not. If in Southport you dwellβ¦ To Empire Chinese go you must. Taste happiness, you will.

Every time we visit Southport (2 or 3 times a year) we make a point of coming to Empire. The quality of the food never fluctuates. It always remains of a high grade and tastes so good every time. The duck is just amazing and the randang curries full of flavour. Treated like individuals every time, even keeping a drink for us that isn't on the menu. Great service from Henry (and Henrys mum) and Lilly as ever. We look forward to coming back again soon. Thank you

I had the Early Bird Special with some friends and it was delicious! The pork pring rolls are so juicy, then had the chicken friend rice which you can never go wrong with. To top it off, a lovely vanilla ice cream with a wafer. Very friendly and helpful staff and a favourite place to go.

Had the Early Bird lunch menu. The crisp chicken samosas were undeniably small but tasty. However the chicken and assorted veg curry was delicious - the rice came in its own container and there was plenty of curry and rice! Had the banana fritter to complete a very good value meal. The service was very attentive too - the food arrived hot which is always welcome! Thanks again!

My wife and I visited tonight for the first time. Staff were very welcoming and attentive throughout. Service was quick and always with a smile and a conversation. My wife's allergy was explained and the lady checked with the kitchen to make sure everything was okay which it was. The menu was extensive. The food was delicious, tasty and fresh and there was lots of it. The Pinot Grigio was very reasonably priced at Β£15.90 per bottle but I was on the alcohol free beer. We couldn't finish but they boxed the rest up for us to take home. The lady said that staff share the tips so we gave them a bit extra. We had to drive about 30 minutes to get here but we like Southport and we will come back here again. Recommended.

Just by the Marina Lake and seaside... 2 minutes walk down from the pier, and right after the fish and chips shops. They have menu and buffet system. We tried today their buffet. The seater guy was really nice, not pushy, smiled and gave us a table we choosed. They're serving alcoholic drinks as refreshments. The buffet is really small, not too much choice but fresh! They have mostly seafood and pork, with some chicken and vegetarian options. We terribly missed the salt and pepper ribs, and the salt and pepper chips was just a little bit above room temperature. The rest of the food was hot enough. The ice cream was from a machine, so no issues... They also provide different toppings on them. Unfortunately the fruit salad was room temperature (water melon, pineapple, and peaches (tinned). They only should have a little more attention, and everything could be 5 stars. I've watched the staff with other customers, too... All of the was very kind, helpful and attention on the details. Might wasn't everything perfect, but definitely worth a visit or two as we will definitely pop in again in the future. Altogether it was a good experience in Southport. Oh, the 2 buffet and 2 soft drinks costs Β£30 on Sunday afternoon...
