“The pizza here was phenomenal, excellent quality which is nice as you feel like you’re still getting a premium type experience despite the fabulously casual vibe of the restaurant:) the prices of the pizzas were reasonable, around £12-14 from what I remember and were definitely worth it. My partner and I also tried the Iced Bailey’s Latte (a cocktail) which was stunning and something a bit different! Would really recommend coming here, it can get quite busy on a weekend so would also recommend booking just to be on the safe side! Overall an amazing experience:)”

“Riva blu is one of our favourite restaurants and we went back for lunch last Sunday our server was so warm and kind and the food was amazing as usual. I forgot the name of our server but he definitely made our experience even better!”

Little touches like water specially prepared for babies or spotlessly clean high chairs brought immediately to our table made us feel very cared of.”

“This restaurant may look small from the front, but it offers plenty of seating inside. The interior design is simple yet appealing, with a cosy atmosphere complemented by background music. There are many outstanding aspects of this place: the portions are satisfying for the price, and the food is incredibly flavourful. There is also a wide variety of menu options to choose from. The service is friendly as well.”

Had the mixed sushi platter as starter, was fantastic I had the lamb loin, was really really good, the flavour was fantastic the mint was mmmmm My partner had the chicken with chillie & garlic, that tasted delicious The side orders , egg fried rice, sauteed potato, stir fry veg, was bloody good too. The chef was incredible, dinner and a show. I've been many times , and they never disappoint. If you've never been, GO!!!!! It's not the cheapest tho, so bring your wallet. But the food is fantastic, and kids will love it too.”

“Went for lunch and I had chargrilled chicken rigatoni. My wife had pan fried salmon gnocchi and my son had sirloin steak. Not one complaint or critique!!! The food was absolutely gorgeous!! Worth every penny!!!”

“In my opinion the best big bowl soups are here. Having tried big bowl soups from a few places in Liverpool Tokyo always comes out on top for service, food and consistency. My favourite is the tom yum with egg noodles and special which contains plenty of veg, char sui, king prawn in a big bowl. The tom yum broth isn't overly spicy like some place and the meats are always steamy hot and tender just what you needed on a rainy November night in Liverpool”

“As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a big smile and told to sit wherever we fancied. Straight away, the atmosphere felt dead friendly ☺️ Food: The food was bang on. Everything tasted fresh, and the chips? Honestly, the best I’ve had in ages – proper crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Oh, and the peas – proper traditional peas, like they used to be, made with fresh marrowfat. Portions were spot on, and it’s great value for money. I loved the specials like chicken curry and hot pot. They’ve even got calories on the menu, which stood out for me straight away. Service: The service was cracking, especially since it was just one person running the show. She kept everyone updated, saying stuff like, “We’re just waiting on chips for 10 minutes,” and she even apologised for the wait (not that we minded, fresh food is worth it!). Nothing was too much trouble – I even heard someone come in with a “weird” order, and she just sorted it, no stress. She made sure we were happy with our food, which you don’t always get these days. Atmosphere: This is what made it for us. Me and the husband both said it felt proper homely. Even with kids messing about, she handled it brilliantly, explaining how they should behave so no one else got disturbed. When it quietened down, she had a little chat with us, and she was so warm and lovely – made us feel right at home. Cleanliness: The place was spotless. She was constantly wiping tables and washing her hands before touching food. She even explained what she was doing and asked us to give her a minute – proper good communication. Overall: Alison’s is a proper hidden gem. It’s cozy, the food’s amazing, and the sense of community is something special. Honestly, it’s well worth a visit – you won’t regret it. Oh, and the tea? Comes in a proper mug – just like at home.”

“We booked Cancello for a family pre Christmas get together for 16 people. Booking was straightforward and they asked us to pre order starters and mains the week before. On arty the welcome was warm and the table prepared perfectly. Everyone’s individual choice was spot on and the quality of the food exceptional. We had 3 young children and a baby in our group, and the staff were lovely towards them. A great venue, lovely atmosphere and superb food. Highly recommended.”

“Just had an incredible experience with the XO fried rice from my go-to Chinese restaurant. The aroma that filled the room when I opened the container was mouthwatering. The rice itself was perfectly cooked—not too dry and not too sticky. The XO sauce, with its rich umami flavor, was distributed evenly, giving each bite a bold, savory kick. Generous chunks of shrimp, char siu pork, and vegetables added wonderful texture and flavor. The balance of ingredients was spot-on, making every mouthful a delightful mix of tastes and textures. “Visited for a family event. We were in the upstairs event room. The outdoor terrace had stunning views over the golf course and beyond - so lucky to have such a sunny day, we could see Wales. The bar was well stocked with a great selection of beers and wines at very reasonable prices. Staff were very accommodating and happy to help.”

“I was visiting the area and popped in to grab some food to takeaway, after it being recommended in a hair salon down the road. What lovely staff, what speedy service and what utterly delicious food. Highly recommended!”

“Finally booked for Sunday dinner as few people had said they were lovely. omg would highly recommend it was delicious we as a couple are quite fussy, it’s the roast potatoes for me and wow they were perfect, we went for the beef roast dinner and 100% be back again! The only thing I could criticise is were we sat it was a bit cold so had to sit with our jackets on whilst eating. But still wouldn’t put me off from booking again.”

“Wow, stumbled upon The Market in Chester and there are loads of stalls to choose from. All types of street food being served. Fancied a burger, normally you get a tasteless grease laden bit of meat. Teddy served us, great service, with a smile. Both of our burgers were cooked to perfection, a chicken burger and a xL smokey. The fries were great too. Now let's get back to these burgers, the XL was 2 patties of wonderful tasting beef. Lovely smoked bacon, cheese and pickles. The chicken burger was according to my wife, proper chicken, loads of flavour. Great job guys.”

“Highly likely 1 of the best chippy's in Liverpool. It is in West Derby area and has been a very popular take away. It is attached to the Chinese restaurant and really is a nice place to go get your food. It is a very busy chippy and people come from miles around to order here. It doesn't do deliveries. It also doesn't take card, its cash only. However, I don't know of any Chippys in Liverpool that take card. The staff are different here, they are typical scouse woman who are fast on their feet, and on the go. They're friendly but busy, which can come across as off putting. However, when you deal with the public you expect to experience all types of personalities. No messing around or falseness, just genuine personalities, who get the job done to get you on your way to the feeding frenzy at home. I'd say the name of the chippy signifys why its name is what it is, as you do get jumbo size portions lol The FOOD IS ALWAYS SPOT ON and I most definitely recommend you try here.”

“I attended tonight on a recommendation ftom.a friend in work, what a lovely restaurant. Staff were lovely, attentive, food was amazing, has a nice feel.about it relaxed. One of the group has good allergies & they were amazing with this, spoke to the chef and she was accommodated without any problem. The early bird menu is so good and brilliant prize, portions are great. I will be back very soon, I highly recommend trying it.”

“We just had a takeaway from here and it was absolutely delish. Particularly recommend the Peshwari naan and the lansuni lamb (had a nice kick). I had the Bhutwa chicken and was also delicious. Good portions and the meat was beautifully cooked. The seasoning really made the food stand out, really well blended and chosen spices. We will definitely be ordering again.”

“I would recommend booking before arriving for a Sunday roast as this place was absolutely buzzing! The soup of the day was melt in your mouth delicious and flavoured perfectly! We tried the chicken, pork and beef roasts. They were equally amazing. I preferred the chicken as it came with crispy skin. The pork came with wonderful crackling if that's your bag. You cannot leave here without having pudding. The brownie, cheesecake and toffee pudding were out of this world. The kitchen is on point with timing and the wait staff did them proud despite how busy it was. Lovely, warm, welcoming and worth a visit for sure. You won't regret it!”
