   I wouldnt even give 1 star. I Booked here for my 40th birthday celebration with my family…… we pre ordered food… none of the food came out together everyone ate on there own that goes for starters and mains, my main meal came out 30 minutes after everyone had eaten. Everyone’s meals were stone cold but it took that long to come out that everyone was too hungry to mention it. The oven broke and the service was rather poor. Bar ran out of vodka and gin after 2 drinks. Restaurant is freezing with no heating on. I’m sorry i booked this place for a special birthday. I wouldn’t normally post a bad review however I did try and reach out to the owner who promised to call me but that was near on 3 weeks ago. Emails ignored and texts Appalling customer service. AVOID…. Get better food and service at the horse and jokey and that’s saying something.

   We had the Sunday lunch menu, food was delicious. Steak slightly tough for my liking. All enjoyed our food, especially starters. Was a quiet afternoon approx 4 tables seated, downside was the service - very slow & poor. One young girl working tables on her own, 2 young bar lads didn’t leave bar to help, nobody asked if we’d like more drinks or cleared glasses from table. Food coming to table took a while, difficult with 2x young children- placed desert menu but crème brûlée we were advised chef wasn’t happy to serve so decided not to pick anything else. Wasn’t cheap but would like to see service improved.. tables more attended too.

   No music playing as issue with sound system. Service was really slow, not the best with kids, had to repeat requests a coupke of times. Food was great but kids portions were huge and over facing for kids could do with making kids food portions smaller and cheaper. Gluten Free options available.

   Finally booked for Sunday dinner as few people had said they were lovely. omg would highly recommend it was delicious we as a couple are quite fussy, it’s the roast potatoes for me and wow they were perfect, we went for the beef roast dinner and 100% be back again! The only thing I could criticise is were we sat it was a bit cold so had to sit with our jackets on whilst eating. But still wouldn’t put me off from booking again.

   Me and my partner made a reservation and were given our seats quickly upon arrival. Drinks, starters and main were nice, reasonably priced. The downside was just poor service. We wanted dessert but assumed because of the group of people behind us, that the staff were busy, so we waited a really long time and saw they were given dessert pretty quickly. But during that time we could have at least been given a dessert menu, asked if we wanted any more drinks, or checked to see if the food was alright (pretty standard I think). The group left and we still didn't get a dessert menu after more time was wasted past our booking slot. We decided to ask for the bill instead. My partner booked based on the high reviews, but it was unfortunate because we both looked forward to having a 3 course meal to celebrate valentine's day, and customer service really does make or break the dining experience.

   Our first visit to Alba and we were really impressed. Lovely decor and atmosphere. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and good size portions too! The only thing that let the food down for me was the potato dish. We will be visiting again and recommending to friends

   Booked online with ease, gorgeous restaurant with fantastic decor. Crisp white table cloths and fresh flowers. Staff were amazing, very polite and attentive. Food was delicious, was able to chose from main menu and specials which was great. Lamb shank was amazing! Finished with an cocktail, and was so happy to see it wasn't pre-made Looking forward to our next visit

   We had an amazing night here last night. Food was exceptional with steak to rival Miller and Carter it was gorgeous and cooked to perfection! The staff where all so welcoming and helpful, they really helped meet my dietary needs, as I have food allergies. I was so impressed as there is such a great Gluten free menu too. We will be making Alba our regular place to eat, genuinely cannot recommend it enough!

   We had a fantastic evening, the staff where really warm & welcoming. We had a 3 course meal with cocktails! The food was delicious and looked amazing and they had a brilliant selection of non alcoholic drinks! Definitely going again.
