Celebrated my girlfriends birthday here tonight and it was the most amazing italian I have ever had. Our server Martin was exceptional. He recommended some incredible dishes, especially the trio of bruschetta and the seafood linguine. All of the food was incredible and would highly recommend to anyone, great for a date night or boujee dinner with friends!

Came here for my birthday. What a fantastic experience. Our server, Martin, was amazing, so kind and so attentive. We ordered cocktails to start, Lychee Martini and a Moscow Mule, which were absolutely amazing. We then had the trio of bruschetta, calamari and carpaccio. Each of these were absolutely phenomenal! For mains we had the seafood spaghetti which was absolutely to die for, best I’ve ever had, and my boyfriend had the sausage ragu which was equally as good. It was my birthday and they really made me feel special as they brought out a beautiful plate of ice cream and sang. Overall I had the most fantastic birthday, thank you very much!

My friends and I stumbled across Il Forno & it was one of the best dining experiences ever! The restaurant is stunning, food is divine, service is impeccable and the overall ambiance was perfect for a nice evening with friends. It’s hard to find authentic Italian food and this place has the BEST! They use ingredients from the Basilicata region of Italy & every bite was like a taste of Italy! I’d highly recommend the bruschetta, carbonara and cannoli but we shared multiple dishes and all were amazing. If ever you’re in Liverpool do yourself a favor & go to Il Forno!!

I can Highly recommend this Italian restaurant if you are in Liverpool. Lobster ravioli was excellent. Lovely staff. We were going to a concert at Liverpool cathedral ( Heather Small). Only a few mins walk away. Will definitely be back.

Came here on summer evening and thought it was nice beautiful restaurant. When entered, just realise the air condition wasn’t working making the atmosphere stuffy and we had to speak about it for staff to put a fan for us. When it comes to food, the bread platter we ordered was disappointing. The bread itself was hard and dry as if it was baked for days. We were told it was freshly baked in the morning, don’t think the quality of the bread was top notch in this case! Come to our main dish, the pasta portion looks huge which were great. However, we were a bit disappointed on the amount of olive oil added to the dish. That probably makes pasta smooth but it was really oily! Overall, this probably the first and last time coming to this restaurant for sure. The price was fine dining price but don’t feel I had the fine dining experience.

Wonderful valentine's menu, and we were well-looked after by the excellent Daniele. In terms of food, the lobster thermador was delicious, and the perfect size for a starter. The fillet steak was melt-in-the-mouth, and definitely a good choice. Shared desserts were decent too.

The second time we've been here and it was just as amazing as the first. We initially sat down at another restaurant and decided it wasn't for us. We ended up in Il forno and it didn't disappoint! Delicious food, luxury surrounding and fantastic service will have us coming back again soon. My husband is Italian and enjoyed every last bite.

Make a reservation!! This place was delicious and I wish we had more time here. We were lucky to get here around 5:00pm and they allowed us to have a table until 6:30pm. I did feel rushed, but only due to time. I’m hoping it would have been different if we reserved. They have a large wine selection and they have options that are not very pricey. The food is delicious, this is hands down the best calamari I’ve ever had as an appetizer. I ate the Spaghetti alla Carbonara and they prepare it in cheese in front of your table. My husband had the Ravioli di Cinghiale. We ordered a bottle of 103 Sauvignon and two glasses of white wine recommended by our waitress. We also had the cannolis for dessert which was recommended by our waitress as well, but to be honest was a little too sweet for my taste. Everything was delicious! We would highly recommend and return. They were very busy and had at least 3 reservations for large parties especially bachelorette parties.

Great atmosphere on a Friday night with really friendly waiters and fast service. Fun to have the carbonara served at the table and the chocolate bomb melted for us for dessert. The ox cheek was absolutely incredible, definitely recommend that dish!
