   I’ve been on a Carbonara quest across Liverpool, and Amalia on Campbell Square finally delivered. The sauce wasn’t stark white—hallelujah—but silky and emulsified, clinging beautifully to each strand of pasta and bursting with real flavor rather than drowning in cream. Service was top-notch. Jurgitalitu, the Lithuanian general manager, cheerfully arranged for Chef Robert to prepare a classic Spaghetti Carbonara on request—a bonus for diners seeking authenticity. Portion size and temperature hit the mark, and the £15.95 daytime lunch deal (with a drink) offers excellent value. I docked only half a star because this version uses pancetta and Parmesan instead of guanciale and Pecorino, but it still stands out as one of the best Carbonaras in town. Highly recommend asking for the classic preparation at Amalia.

   Great food and atmosphere! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quieter Italian restaurant in the heart of Liverpool. The restaurant itself was gorgeous and the service was great! We really enjoyed our food too with no complaints whatsoever! 5 stars on all fronts!

   A unique restaurant with unique Italian food. If you want to travel from England to Italy, the food here will help - the pizza, pasta and everything prepared here. They also have a uniquely delicious, something like a flatbread with pesto. There was a slight delay in some things, but everything we ordered was worth it. There is no room for dessert, but when you visit it again, you will try them too.

   Great place!!!! In the centre, but aside, very nice and romantic place. This place is very popular, almost all the time all tables are occupied. The guitar player Pete was also great, greatusician. I did't expect to hear Steely Dan and Van Morrison there. Goska is very nice lady working there, together with her collegue. And also the second shift. Young people working very hard. I adore italian kitchen and this was my favourite place for dinner at Liverpool. The best food! ❤.

   Tried Amalia for the first time and had Tagliatelle con gamberoni al Pesto di Pistachio and my partner had a massive Calzone Prosciutto. Both really nice and I've never seen a calzone so big. Finished my pasta and was not SO full but was comfortable. Had to steel a bit of calzone because I was still slightly hungry. Overall, the dishes we orders had average prices, some dishes in the menu are quite expensive. The staff were nice and very energetic!

   Little Italian restaurant in liverpool. Quite close to the city center. I believe a reservation is required but you can chance it and show up without one. Beautiful decor and polite staff. The restaurant can be a bit noisy though with all the patrons chattering away, so if you desire quite dinning this may not be for you. The food tasted good. I enjoyed the penne carbonara much friend had the tagliatelle bolognese (he didn't think too much of it), which I tasted and it really lacked flavour. The service was painfully slow. We waited 1 hour plus after ordering to recieve our meal. The waiter apologized 56 mins in and gave us complimentary dessert at the end.

   Really great restaurant! I've been a few times over the years and I've never heard a bad word about it! Friendly, welcoming staff, great feel in the place and amazing food with a huge menu with something for everyone! They have good GF and vegan options, a great bar and it's perfectly located right in the centre of town with the Albert Dock and Liverpool central station a five min walk either way! it's easily a place I'd highly recommend
