After a long train delay, we arrived in Wrexham tired and hungry and were turned away by a few restaurants. The Bank was a complete contrast and ended up being the most welcoming place we visited in downtown Wrexham. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth. Our server, Eva, was fantastic — she made us feel immediately at home, chatted with us about local life, and gave us great recommendations for the area. Her friendliness alone would have made the visit memorable. What really stood out was that her manager also came over to say hello and spend time talking with us. Even though the restaurant was quiet and they absolutely didn’t have to go out of their way, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. Simply spending time with the staff ended up being one of our favorite experiences in Wrexham. On top of that, the food was excellent — easily the best meal we had while we were there. It’s clear why The Bank has such a great reputation, and learning that the owner, Alex, has been building it into what it is today for the past 13 years made total sense. A truly special place run by wonderful people.

I was given a friendly welcome and during my visit I tried one of the small plate dishes they serve - seabass with mussels, coconut and massaman, served on a bed of tenderstem broccoli. The plate might have been small but the portion was generous and beautifully tasty. Highly recommended.

Whenever in Wrexham, come over to The Bank! Amazing food, very good wines and a good vibe. I had the lamb chops, seabass & garlic bread. The best I've eaten in years! Bold unexpected combinations, but all of them spot on. After this I wasn't hungry anymore, but I had to try some dessert. Again here I was pleasantly surprised with the pavlova. Not what I expected, but even better!

Grace was our server, she was fantastic and an incredible asset to the restaurant. She helped us choose our food despite being super busy serving others during a busy Saturday afternoon. The food was, as anticipated, wonderful. But I felt compelled to leave a review just to commend Grace as she made it perfect. Thank you grace!

Bit of a let down. Food was good, but the attitude of the staff was not great. The waitress that served our table, didnt crack a smile once - we appeared to be an inconvenience for her. She was also at our table every 10 minutes asking whether we wanted drinks, but didn't bother to ask whether our food was okay. They actually overcharged us too - the manager went away to loop at the CCTV came back and confirmed the overcharge. He was not particularly apologetic, which was also a disappointment. It's a shame because the place is really well put together, and the food is very good. Unfortunately, due to the unsatisfactory service we received, we won't be going back.

I found myself waiting in Wrexham, and popped in for Lunch. Found the atmosphere very relaxed with appealing decor. The tapas style plates were delicious with friendly and attentive staff. The former bank still has a vault downstairs too Highly recommended.

Lovely food, a tapas style, so you have a few plates per person. The staff are very nice and check on you through your meal and drinks, very accommodating. The only slight issue was the music was quite loud for us to talk. Our table was at 7:45 on a Friday night so we appreciate that, and the music was an amazing selection, but I think it could have been a bit quieter to really make the ambience perfect.

Just really good tasty, fresh food, awesome atmosphere, great service! Beautiful place! We've enjoyed it so much and the owner made a dinner possible although we never had a reservation. Even our little one (15 months) was very welcome, they have a good baby highchair and changing room! Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Amazing food! Great service, every small plate we had was lovely & well presented. You need to get yourselves there if you haven’t been! Support local businesses especially during these hard times. We were the only ones in there tonight, as they’d had cancellations, so glad we went in!
