“I was given a friendly welcome and during my visit I tried one of the small plate dishes they serve - seabass with mussels, coconut and massaman, served on a bed of tenderstem broccoli. The plate might have been small but the portion was generous and beautifully tasty. Highly recommended.”
“Absolutely 5 star. Place is gorgeous. Food is amazing. Probably the best meal in the best surroundings I've had. Would absolutely recommend it.”
“I Visted the Levant kitchen and bar on Monday night while in the area because of previous reviews. These reviews do not lie! The beef burger was incredible with great service and polite servers! I would highly recommend the Levant kitchen and bar.”
“Love this place! Managed to book a table last minute on the Friday evening a 6pm. The food was amazing, as always. Never disappointed. Lovely staff, great service. Had pigeon breast, fried zucchini, olives. The pan fried salmon, with asparagus, poached egg, Jersey royal potatoes & hollandaise sauce was exceptional. There were 4 of us, and also had a risotto, and a chicken burger. No room for desserts! Great cocktails too. Have also been for breakfast and lunch before now! Would highly recommend.”
“I love this place! One of two venues in Wrexham I can comfortably call nice, classy or desirable. Great atmosphere, good food and the cocktails are spectacular. Rarely get into anything much more than the long island iced tea but have samples a good cross section over the years. The atmosphere is cosy early on, with comfortable, stylish furnishings and low-ish lighting, suited to quiet drinks with conversation, dates etc. Later into the evening on weekends at least they have some great local talent in doing acoustic covers and original music with plenty of audience participation encouraged but not in a lazy way. Food is a pleasant mix of Mediterranean through traditional and well executed. I've been there as a casual visitor for drinks and/or food and also on work outings, group catered and been equally pleased each time.”
“Only been a couple of times, but hooked on the place. Ten Pin bowling for £3 a game, use your own trainers, great meals and drinks, and SKY Sports. What more do you want.”
“Our Sundays aren’t complete unless we’ve had a Sunday box! Everything is absolutely gorgeous. The cauliflower cheese, creamy cabbage, perfect roasters and fabulous Yorkshire puds too. Thank you chef Croes Howell, Natalie and the team, you always pull out the stops to make everything so lovely for us. It’s very much appreciated ❤️”
“Belting bar, good laugh, lively and accommodating.”
“A wonderful place, nothing was too much for the staff, the food was delicious and flavoursome and the place and atmosphere was so warm and homely. Loved it!”
“We were recommended to come by a friend. Am I glad we did! Hands down the nicest Sunday roast I’ve ever tasted. Some other reviews have said the food isn’t good and staff unhelpful. Far from it all staff we interacted with were extremely friendly and keen to ensure we enjoyed our food. Rest assured we will be back!!”
“Fairfield tavern is an amazing local pub a great range of beers, alcohol and none alcoholic drinks, service was brilliant and speedy Pool table, dart board and jukebox all available with sky sports too”
“I didnr stay at this hotel but went for dinner with friends and I just wanted to say that having eaten several times at this hotel this was the very best. The main thing was the service. We had a delightful young woman that looked after us she was efficient, knowledgeable, well presented and took our orders with minimum effort. Why cant all waiting on staff be like her. She even listened to my suggestion of a large print menu or magnifier to assist people with poor sight to remain independent whilst out. Having spoken in favour of our waiting on staff I should also say the food was lovely too.”
“Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Deadwood Smokehouse in Mold sooner — we’ve eaten here so many times over the years, it’s definitely our go-to place! The food is always spot on, with a great choice of dishes whether you’re in the mood for ribs, burgers, or something a bit different. The portions are generous, everything is full of flavour, and there’s a really good selection of drinks to go with it too. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the service is consistently excellent no matter how busy it gets. There’s a great atmosphere — relaxed, lively, and perfect for both casual meals and nights out with friends or family. Highly recommend Deadwood Smokehouse — it never disappoints!”
“Just got back from Common wood after a four day fishing trip on Llewellyn lake and had a great time, me and my pal both beat our personal best. The fish in Llewellyn are in amazing condition the place is pretty clean and tidy. The Bailiff Tony was brilliant, he came around every morning and anything we needed he sorted, he also shared his knowledge of the lake with us. We had breakfast delivered to our pegs and we also went down to the bar for a pizza and beers in the evening. The pizza’s are handmade and cooked in a pizza oven and it’s the best tasting pizza i have had in a while. The food and atmosphere is great.”
“Friendly staff and good beers. We had a good time here”
“Dawn runs a marvellous, traditional Welsh pub. In 1643 Oliver Cromwell set his cannons up on the site of what would become the future pub's namesake bowling greens, then he shelled the Parish church before burning a lot of the town. One thing that's never burnt however are the dinners that fly out of Bowling Greens kitchen. Superb, hearty, honest scran. Fine selection of beers, wines & spirits, great dart board + teams, too. All welcome in this midweek drinkers experience.”
“Stopped for food tonight, absolutely first class really nice and good service, the bar had good atmosphere and staff were great”
“I always enjoy a visit to the club, they have really good social events and the staff are friendly and wellcoming”
“Visited for a family funeral and was greeted by a very clean, welcoming pub. Food was great, host/manager and other staff were very helpful and friendly.”
“Live music with great service and food. Having the live music element to enhance your dinning experience is always a bonus.”
“This is a wonderful venue for parties, functions or just having a drink.”
“Had a brilliant time at this pub! The service was spot on—quick, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was delicious! What really made the visit special was the staff—so friendly and chatty, they made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, perfect for a casual meal or a few drinks with friends. Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!”

“A 16th century pub, full of character, very nice staff..”
“Had my Grandsons christening last Sunday. Lovely room, ladies behind the bar were lovely, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was large, pleasant and we were lucky enough to be able to use the balcony. The addition of the 2nd room for the buffet was ideal. We will definitely use again for any upcoming family functions. Thanks all concerned. Xx”
“First Visit to Plas Coch – Absolutely Delightful! We visited Plas Coch for the first time and were genuinely impressed. The experience was nothing short of amazing! The staff were incredibly helpful, polite, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well looked after. We ordered the Sunday roast, and it was absolutely delicious, generous portions, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal.Highly recommend Plas Coch for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!”
“Had a lovely carvery here recently. The owner was very welcoming and accommodated my partners request to change the TV channel when we were the first in the pub seating section. The food was really delicious, and the interior quaint and well kept. Out at the rear could do with a tidy up, but the weather has been pants recently, so don't let that put you off. We will definitely be back.”
