   Just got back from Common wood after a four day fishing trip on Llewellyn lake and had a great time, me and my pal both beat our personal best. The fish in Llewellyn are in amazing condition the place is pretty clean and tidy. The Bailiff Tony was brilliant, he came around every morning and anything we needed he sorted, he also shared his knowledge of the lake with us. We had breakfast delivered to our pegs and we also went down to the bar for a pizza and beers in the evening. The pizza’s are handmade and cooked in a pizza oven and it’s the best tasting pizza i have had in a while. The food and atmosphere is great.

   Well where do I start ……. We’ve stayed at Commonwood maybe 5-6 times in the past 12 months. Never had any issues , heard about them but never experienced any ourselves . We are a family with boys aged 5, 7 and 15. There’s something for us all, especially the Madoc lake pitches which are some of the most spacious pitches we have stayed on. However we have just been thrown off the site along with another 2 families with their children. If you to class us as a group then that’s fine but we were all families with young children. We have been accused of damaging the electric hook up point . Which if we did do it we would have gone to the reception and notified . We were told about the kids using the shower area how they were making a mess. We respected the owners concern about this and spoke with our children and warned them all . We were told no electric bikes which to be honest we have used them on our previous stays and the kids did push it one night and had a little ride but we then locked them away in our vehicle . To then have the owner Paul come over at 8:15pm very abruptly asking us to leave as he’s had enough of us. As fishing finished at 7pm ……. All though when we checked in it stated fishing was ok until 8pm. Granted we were 10-15 mins late but was packing up. To then Paul tell our children that they weren’t aloud to ride their peddle bikes either! He then proceeded to listen to another camper that was 5 pitches away from us telling tales about how we wound him up . This is the first we have heard about this and are quite baffled by this statement . The next morning we went to reception to clear things up , spoken to Paul’s son, which knew nothing about what was said the previous evening. The other owner Julie . Presumed to be Paul’s wife , came to our pitch and told us to leave as the guests on the 3 other pitches have all complained about us , not the case as we spoke to them and they was just as shocked as us to hear we have done wrong ?? Upon leaving , we tidied everything up removed all our rubbish as that is the sort of people we are , we respect things . We work hard and treat as we wanted to be treated . We went to claim a refund for the night we had paid for , and Julie told me that they all felt intimidated and scared to speak the truth to us . What an absolute pack of lies , we have young children with us ! I did eventually loose my cool and my language became something I’m not proud of but to be accused of things that aren’t true knowing that we are not bad people wound me up . What sort of site is this ???? We booked the family area being the madoc lake pitches , so should our children be silent , not have fun ??? I’m confused ???? The communication is the worst and the attitude from the owners paul and Julie is diabolical , a lesson in customer service wouldn’t go a miss! Great site ruined by these two clowns And I’m sure Julie will reply claiming it’s all lies from myself like she has with other negative reviews especially the negative reviews regarding her customer service !

   Stayed in safari lodge. Lovely for basic outdoor adventure, sadly the portaloo was unusable due to the bad aroma, for £180 for 1 night, it would be nice to have a sink with running water, but not the end of the world. It would have been a 4 star review if these was the only issues, upon leaving, a male staff member was extremely rude, threatening to snap a rod in half, saying the lake behind us (bearing in mind - the website advertises the safari lodge with YOUR own cat fish lake) with photos to show this and on arrival we was offered the use of the site rods to fish our private lake, the staff member said the lake is not for you to use, and anyone that books to fish there can come onto the safari lodge whilst we paid for it, can do so. Then proceeded to rudely say, "strip the sheets off the bed and take them to reception". Again not a big issue, but there us a way to talk paying customers and his attitude was unacceptable. When I took the sheets to book out, the lovely lady seemed very confused, I explained we was told to strip them and also mentioned the conversation regarding the lake. She clarified the lake is with the safari lodge and to take no notice of the other staff member. We will not be returning, sadly. It is such a nice area but certain rude staff, will be this site's demise.

   Our recent visit to Commonwood Leisure Fishery in Wrexham was extremely disappointing and upsetting. We were wrongly accused of things we simply did not do. What made matters worse was the complete lack of consistency among the staff — we were told different rules by different people, which created confusion and frustration throughout our stay. The customer service was absolutely appalling. The owner and his wife were extremely rude, even in front of our children, which was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. Instead of handling things with basic courtesy or a calm conversation, we were abruptly thrown off the site following an alleged complaint from members of the public. However, after speaking to those same people, it was clear they had no issue with us at all. The whole experience was deeply upsetting. What should have been a relaxing time turned into a stressful ordeal. We will definitely not be returning and would advise others to think twice before visiting. There are far better places to enjoy a peaceful day out without the drama or poor treatment.

   Superb fishery and simply the epitome of pleasure fishing. Very well stocked with wide range of fish types and weights. Clean pegs and excellent access to all of the pools. I highly recommend a visit to this amazing complex.

   Performed tonight at their Oktoberfest event with my band "Break The Record" Incredible venue! Incredible staff! The organisers are lovely people and had done an amazing job! Highly recommended checking it out (especially if they have an event on!)

   Beautiful scenic fishery! We stayed In Arcadia and made brilliant family memories by the camp fire and swimming in the pond. We’ve also stayed in the tents by the lake and had a wonderful time- so peaceful! The food at Acorn is sooo good- recommend the burgers and wraps!

   Great experience!!! We have stayed a night in the camps, It was a memorable time with grill, fire place, fishing and a lot of memories. No power available in the camps so it's better to bring a power bank. I forgot to mention about the fishing.. Everyone is winner and all of us we got fishes.
