Great staff and great surroundings. Ideal for a coffee and cake or a meal. Situated just at the top of the hill if your walking from the seafront. Borders onto the children's play park for added convenience.

As an Italian man I took a chance on this Cioni Bistro as the menu seemed convincing with traditional Italian names but I was wrong! Pizza Pazza was a 9inch pizza and was made with no skill or traditional ways. I have a better experience earing a Carlo's or Alfredo pizza from Aldi or Lidl. You wa treat Italian pizza all i can say is for to Italy or learn to make it yourself using a stone baked oven.

A frontrunner for the worst cheese toastie I've ever had. Wasn't even melted! It's a TOASTIE, you had ONE JOB!!! Made extra awful by it's Β£8 price tag. Disinterested staff. Will not return. Go to Willmores next door, they're fantastic

Staff was unhelpful and terrible customer service, both ladies were not very pleasant at all. They sold me a stale mint Cornetto, when I went back to ask for a replacement she showed me another cone which was in date. She mentioned that’s how the ice creams get sent to them. I asked to just change the ice cream to a mint magnum instead to save any hassle of another cone being stale and she said it will cost me 40p extra. I told her that’s awful as it was their fault in the first place for selling me a old ice cream. I told her she can keep the ice cream and give me a refund instead. Please avoid this place, reading the other reviews it seems to be a regular thing.

Went there on Mother’s Day and ordered mixed grills and ham sandwich and chips. Our son had nuggets and chips all the food was grim. My 82 year old father in law was with me or I would have complained sandwich was dry, nuggets soggy inside and you get a much better mixed grill from weatherspoons. If you under the age of 70 avoid like the plague.

Hot chocolates we had tasted more like hot milk. The chocolate desert was a bit dry, paid about Β£11 for 2 hot drinks and a cake, not a bad place though.

Rude, grumpy and unaccommodating! Myself, my partner and two year old daughter went for a walk around the area/ played in the park. It was a very busy, cold, crisp bank holidays. We bought a takeaway coffee from the new cafe next door and later went here for food. We walked in with empty coffee cups - not to litter as their bins were full. We were soon β€˜welcomed’ by a very rude chef, who had been told we’d walked in with cups from elsewhere. He told us we were not welcome with takeaway cups from next door and to leave!! He wouldn’t let us explain why we had them and that we were there to order more coffees/ drinks and food. This was somewhere I used to love visiting throughout my childhood - but one very poor experience and I will not be returning. The cafe next door is far friendlier and couldn’t do more for us!!

Edit: Following our second trip here I must change my review slightly due to the idiotic rule of no ice-cream cones on the cafe, even though they sell them. Just to clarify my wife and I along with our two year old & mother inlaw popped in for a Coffee and cake. After making an order of Β£20 plus my wife asked of we could have an ice-cream cone for our kid. A straight out no and stated can only have a cone if you are outside. Only in a dish inside..Soo my wife asked for the manager only to be told the same. Now for the silly bit. My kid prefers the wafer cone to the ice-cream itself. We asked can we have a wafer on its own. The answer was no. Seriously you can't bend your rules slightly? Anyway we ended up having ice-cream in a dish and picking the cone up on the way out. This place has had a nice revamp. Decor is very nice. Nice choice of food here and it taste good. We had a cheese & onion toastie and a fresh pizza. They have a great choice of ice-cream also. Prices are reasonable, though I didn't get some of the price differences between pizzas. They seem inconsistent. Anyway.. Good views of the sea and there's a really good park next door for the kids. Lots of free parking also with toilets.
