“The Best Brekkies in Penarth and I have Tried & Tested them All. My siblings and I meet there to have Cooked Breakfast (Meat and Veggie Versions) And We All Agree. Best Brekkies, Service & Ambience . Highly Recommended.”
“Really lovely place to have a drink, helpful and friendly staff and a great selection of beers, wines, ciders, ales and sours. Highly recommended.”
“Lovely place to visit. It's only a smallish pier easy to walk to end and back. The pier is beautifuly looked after and well maintained, public toilets on the pier were clean and well maintained. The tide was out on our visit. picture of the support legs, all the other pictures included me so not posted”
“The bartender Eilir was amazing! We sat at the bar and we made up cocktails all night long, he handcrafted to our specifications. Would try again - amazing cocktails”
“Loved it. It was the perfect place for a typical kitchen pantry in case you want to stock up on Indian groceries in the kitchen, be it spices, ready mix masala's, dry grains, rice, pulses, breakfast products such as Pohe, Suji/Rawa, Atta, canned or tinned food. such as Chawali, Kala chana, red chana, rajma, Chile etc. And moreover the fresh vegetables such as fresh turmeric, lemongrass, curry leaves, guava, whole coconut, pumpkin for sambar, dudhi, karela, drumsticks aka in Marathi Shevgyachya shenga, etc. For chaitime and snacktime, rusk.toast, khari, biscuits such as almost favourite of many people - Parle G, good day, maska chaska etc. Also The fresh butchers section which sells such as chicken lever, gizard/petha, drumsticks, leg pieces, lamb kheema, mutton kheema, chicken kheema and a huge variety of options in fresh meat. The beauty is you could buy it as per your requirements and need. I recommend this especially to the students, it's one stop solution for them to equipped the pantry for Indian groceries.”
“A great place for refreshments on Penarth pier with good opening hours. Got a Cadbury's hot chocolate and some welsh cakes to take-out before walking back to the Cliff parade free car park. Chatted about the Downtown Penarth mountain bike race in 2007.”
“My favourite place for breakfast. Really good value for money and fresh ingredients. Great customer service.”
“I have always loved Coffee #1, and believe it is the best chain around this area. I order a large caramel latté with extra caramel and an extra shot, and after 2 of those (I'm beginning number 2 as I write), I can't think straight anymore, my handwriting goes completely wonky, and I forget the way home. That's the sign of a potent brew. The taste is good, but I've had 99 doses of radiotherapy (yes, ninety-nine) on my throat area, so my taste buds are redolent of a bad night out in Mogadishu. The latté art is spot on, so I don't hold it against the (traditionally harassed) barista that he could only with great effort hold back a wince of distaste at my Philestinism when I said yes to his offer of a swirl of squirty caramel sauce on top of the accomplished rosette. I ran a coffee shop for a while, and I used to snarl at everyone even though my latté art was poop and I only knew how to make one type of drink, regardless of what was ordered. The atmosphere is lovely, and I'm here at 1pm on a Tuesday. It's gently buzzing and only disturbed by one SCREAMING baby, (too many ristretto, methinks). We look out onto the fairly dull Penarth main street; more stimulating to point your chair inwards - this cafe is surprisingly deep, with enough tables for me not to feel *too* guilty/awkward at taking up a potential 3 seater on my lonesome. (To be honest, with a stoma in your neck and an electric voice, you get away with pretty much anything anywhere anyway - never underestimate the power of sympathy/revulsion). The atmosphere is in fact so pleasant that although I only came in for a takeaway cup, I've ended up staying for 2 and a takeaway pecan/salted caramel brownie for my dear wife. Come to this cafe. I don't think you'll regret it”
“Came in with a few of my friends this past weekend, really great vibe and energy here. We made the most of the two cocktails for £14 and had a couple of cocktails, Pina Coladas, Lemon Sours, Hugo Spritz and two Brambles, which are pictured. They all tasted great and were made at the bar just in front of us so we could see the making process. We shared a few sides off the menu, the truffle fries and tenderstem broccoli between us, which also came out quickly, they were really nice and would order again. One of the waitresses was kind enough to take our picture there, 10/10 would return again for a proper sit down meal.”
“Stayed here on 08th April as we had family staying local. The atmosphere was amazing there was a comedian on who was hilarious!! The owners Gareth and Tash were absolutely sound! Everyone made us feel welcome and we would 100% go back if we are in Cardiff again. Thanks all for an amazing stay. Charl & Sian x”
“Absolutely fantastic food. Friendly staff is always a plus. Parking is terrible but that's not the shops fault. The cod is very nice and the chips have a lovely taste.”
“First time ordering from here yesterday and was really impressed. Speed of service, food quality & portion sizes were all top notch. Even catered to a special request I had made. Have tried quite a few Indian takeaways in Penarth and found them to be average at best. This is the exception, won't be going anywhere else from now on.”
“Visited the Cardiff Bay branch recently. The food was lovely, the service was even better. The waitress, Eve, was really friendly and made me and my partner feel really welcome. Will definitely visit again”
“Ordered pizzas and sides for a large group of people late at night, thinking they were open until in the early hours of last Sunday night. When we arrived to the store to collect the pizzas the doors were still open, it was already 23:20 and the staff informed they close at 23:00 but they still took the order we made online. He was kind about the situation and still made fresh pizzas for us. Thank you for your service!”
“A wide selection of goods, priced to compete or out do some major supermarkets. Range of packet sizes. Staff pleasant and helpful. Clean and tidy shop.”
“Coffi Co is such a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a treat. The food is absolutely delicious, the coffee is perfect, and the staff are always so warm and welcoming. The beautiful location with its stunning views makes every visit feel special. Highly recommended!”

“Excellent breakfast in a proper cafe. Good value and lovely food.”
“One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Every dish was immaculate and both the service and atmosphere were amazing.”
“Best curry we have had for ages! Quality of meat seemed very good and tastes were all so delicious.”
“Pizza Pronto catered our event over the weekend and we just had to leave a review. Jac and the team did an amazing job creating a fantastic atmosphere turning an ordinary venue into what felt like a bustling Italian street party. The team’s ability to churn out pizzas without any diminishing quality is truly admirable. The chefs provided a set menu with an amazing selection of pizzas plus also let guests modify and remove toppings when requested.”
“We have been here a few times and never had a bad meal. We recently came on Saturday 15th and had a chicken curry and a lamb curry both with 3 sides each. Both meats fell apart and melted in your mouth! All the sides were delicious too, the pineapple salsa is Devine! We came again tonight and had a mid week roast, 1 beef and 1 belly pork, omg the dinners were both amazing and would recommend to anybody! Simon and his mum are a true vibe whilst waiting for the food to be dished up! We will be back soon, thank you!”
“Great local coffee shop, the owner is the heart of the business always brings a smile to people's faces :) , great coffee amazing cakes and brilliant sandwiches at really reasonable prices a toasted sandwich is less than a meal deal at Tesco! Highly recommend”
“Had a lovely brunch here a few weeks ago. Had a breakfast burrito and it was delicious. We came along quite close to closing time. They served us with quick service and were very friendly.”
“Booked last minute for an early table on new years eve, before a visit to the glee club in Cardiff - all I can say is WOW the food is incredible!!! first time here but def wont be the last, the BEST tsatsiki ive ever had in the uk - everything was tasty & very well presented - we were even given complimentary baklava which was also delicious! We will definitely return :)”
“No rating for rooms as we just went in for breakfast/brunch. Great service, lovely Welsh breakfast. Sensibly priced, happy to recommend.”
“This is a lovely bakery and we enjoyed afternoon tea. Service cannot be faulted. The Danish pastries are authentic, and I can say that with some authority as my family are Danish and my grandfather was a Baker in Denmark. Loved the hints of Denmark, the bike, the coffee can, and the teak furniture. My only thought to make a more hygge vibe, would be to add some tealights to each table. We had a vegetarian afternoon tea, it was very generous and we went home with a doggy bag. The open sandwiches served on rye bread were really tasty, would just have loved a bit of Danish blue. The cakes and pastries were lovely, would have liked Kanel stang, though the spandauer were really tasty. If you want an authentic Danish bakery, this is the place to go. Recently went to Scandinavian Kitchen in London and was disappointed, so don't go there, go to Brod, a ittle bit if Denmark in Wales.”
“Amazing food for a decent price. Best of all it’s next to the park! Enjoy a pint while the kids are playing! The corned beef pie was awesome.”
