   Seafront cafe / restaurant where food and service are consistently good. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Outside terrace overlooking the seafront, we sat there for a nice lunch yesterday in warm sunshine for the time of year.

   I recently held my 60th fancy dress birthday party at Sid’s which was absolutely fantastic! Sid took the stress away from the event by decorating the room, organising the food and ensuring they had what alcohol our friends drank in fact nothing was too much trouble! The evening was a huge success with a gorgeous buffet that everyone enjoyed and the staff were amazing and attentive! A big thanks for looking after us so well!

   Recently celebrated my birthday with over 60 guests at Sids. The venue was perfect, the location with views across the sea were excellent and the buffet meal proved was superb. Sid and his staff could not do enough for us and all of out guests were very impressed. I could not have wished for a better way to celebrate and would thoroughly recommend Sids restaurant. Many of our guests stayed at Sids and were very happy with the rooms which were clean and spacious. Many thanks tobSid and his staff.

   Booked a party for a 2nd birthday also a suprize party in one absolutely outstanding food, catering, service bar service waiters, cleaning is outstanding. Very pretty place warm, Friendly. Literally everything they done was above a d beyond of I could give a 7 star I would also you have outdoor to relax and swe beach view and walk for fresh air. Everything was absolutely perfect and 101% and above with no exaggeration honestly. A*******

   Visited here for a funeral wake. Enjoyed a nice plated buffet along with a couple of cups of coffee. I was driving so I abstained from alcohol. Nice sandwiches, sausage roll and beautiful cake as well as scones with jam and cream. Felt well satisfied. One of our group requested veggie food and this was promptly supplied. Excellent service allied to good food and a clean loo... what more could one want?

   Just had a really gorgeous breakfast at this great place! Sat outside in the sunshine with a friend and our 2 dogs.I had avocado on toast with 2 poached eggs ( cooked perfectly)! Coffee was really good and the service was top class ( with a smile)... really friendly. Ambience was lovely and the seafront location is fab... looking forward to returning soon . Would highly recommend.

   Situated on the front of Penarth over looking the beach front, lovely spot to while away the afternoon.The seated area outside was well covered and adhered to covid regulations. It was fairly quiet when we visited, 13:00 Thursday afternoon. The waiter was very polite and we were seen to fairly quickly. We ordered 2 glasses of New Zealand white wine £10 each and 2 crab sandwiches £11 each from the menu. Total bill £42. A bit on the expensive side, but for crab you expect to pay a bit more. The sandwich came with side salad, coleslaw and French fries, it was all presented lovely on the plate. The only thing that I would say is that the sandwich was not really a crab sandwich, it had crab in it, but mixed in with salad, for the price that I was being charged for I expected for for my money. If I was in St Ives and sitting on the front with a crab sandwich I would know I was eating crab. So overall, good service, pleasent location, just a shame the lunch let it down.
