“I recently visited German Doner Kebab and ordered the beef rice bowl. The experience was excellent, largely thanks to Rashmi. She was very friendly, professional, and welcoming from the moment I ordered. She helped ensure everything went smoothly, and my order was prepared quickly and accurately. The beef rice bowl was delicious, fresh, and well-prepared, which made the visit even better. Rashmi’s positive attitude and great customer service truly enhanced my experience. She is a real asset to the GDK team.”

“This café was a delightful find! I stopped in to get some work done and was pleasantly surprised by how reliable and fast the WiFi was – perfect for a productive few hours. The food was absolutely delicious – it had that comforting, home-cooked feel that’s hard to come by in most cafés. Their cappuccino deserves a special mention – rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The ambience is warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger. Though the staff were clearly busy, they were still attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. The only downside was the strong food smell inside, likely because the kitchen is open to the seating area. There is outdoor seating, which would’ve been a great alternative, but unfortunately it was too cold and windy on the day I visited. Overall, despite that small drawback, I’d highly recommend this place – whether you're looking to relax, catch up on work, or just enjoy a fantastic meal and coffee.”

“We arrived around 1230 on a Saturday having walked from a local village. Although we were the only customers the greeting was super friendly and the service was brilliant. The food was delicious, especially the home made soup. Definitely going back, and this will become the new half way point. Having visited other pubs in Castle Donington this is one of the best by far. Dog friendly in the bar and outside Great food Great welcome Worth a visit”

“We visited today for Festive Afternoon Tea, it was also my mums birthday! From the moment we walked in we felt so welcomed with Olivia's smiley friendly face! The decor is amazing inside such a cosy vibe and great music! By far the best afternoon tea we have ever had, we were made me feel so special so many lovely touches to make the experience personal to us. Olivia is such a great asset to the team, you are very lucky to have her! Can't wait to come back and try something else! Thanks again, and I would recommend anyone to dine here, you will NOT be disappointed.”

“We visited with family for Sunday dinner, then returned the next day with friends for an evening meal—and both experiences were fantastic. The setting, service, and food were consistently amazing. A special mention to Adam, who was especially welcoming and friendly. The outdoor area is beautifully designed—easily one of the nicest spots in Nottinghamshire. We’re already looking forward to making the most of it this summer. We’ll definitely be back!”

“The food was amazing. The choice of food is brilliant. They cator for meat eaters and include vegan options. The coffee was great and just what I needed after the weekend I had. We ordered using the online service and the food arrived fairly quickly. The decor and vibe of the place is nice. Great place to meet friends or have a date.”

“Don't let some of the negative reviews put you off visiting this restaurant (no unpleasant smells either). There were 4 of us & we're greeted with a warm welcome. Now to the main event. I had black pearl scallops as a starter & grilled chicken breast in a chasseur sauce for my main, really tasty & well presented. The rest of our group really enjoyed their food as well. It was our first visit & won't be out last. I can honestly say it's we'll worth a visit.”

“Had a flying visit to Notts yesterday. Was incredibly fortunate to find this WONDERFUL Restaurant. Not only was the place attractive in style, full of wonderful vibes and happy customers, it also provided the most wonderful food. Paulina attended our table, and could not have been more charming, helpful, informative. She made our visit so enjoyable, as did GIA who provided the refreshments. We had such a great time we took the opportunity to enjoy some champagne too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!!”

“Absolutely outstanding carvery, every meat for a Sunday roast available including lamb, A choice of medium beef or well done beef, Pork and great crackling, gammon, turkey! All veg fresh, banging roasties and creamy mash! Not forgetting the crispy stuffing balls and immense Yorkshire puddings....infact, the best yorkies I've ever had!! Will definitely be returning!”

“We stopped for a weekday lunch and have to say we had a great experience. The venue is cosy and welcoming and nicely decorated. The food was excellent and well presented, and service was top-notch Dogs are welcome inside, which is an added bonus. A good selection of beers and ales, including independent brewers.”

“I was really pleasantly surprised when I found such a quality restaurant-pub in this small town. This is a good level of establishment for such a place and especially the employees really showed a pleasant level of service. We did not book a table in advance, which does not correspond to their rules, but the restaurant still found a free and cozy place for us. For which we were grateful to them. Also the steak exceeded all expectations. This steak was truly delicious and fantastic in combination with salad and sauce for this meat. The impressions were only positive. I recommend”

“The girls that work here are what makes the place. The foods really good but they are friendly and welcoming and unlike a lot of places don’t feel begrudged they work in the service industry. Manners and smiles go along way. By comparison the place up the road doesn’t take cards and you get growled at if you ask the wrong thing etc Well done ladies!
