“Had a lovely lunch at this beautiful village pub today. I loved the vegetable pakora and king prawn risotto and my husband was very happy with his sea bass! Our kids loved the food too. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Will definitely go back!”
“Really lovely pub and restaurant, been here a few times as it's local and has a good atmosphere. We enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day dinner at The Pheasant, the food was lovely, very kid-friendly and the lady who took our order and served us was really accommodating.”
“One of the best curries I have ever had! Travelled further afield because we fancied a change was worth the trip! Full of flavour, fresh ingredients and big portions! Will definitely be coming back!”
“Amazing place, great atmosphere and lovely people !”
“Came here today to celebrate my mums birthday and the staff are absolutely amazing, the food was amazing quality and for all 8 of us was good value for money. Thanks again!”
“Just won an award for best takeaway in Northamptonshire 2nd year in a row. Food is excellent and the staff sre lovely.”
“A Bicester Gem! Classy. Enjoyed the Food and service (Ask for Sian). Pork belly and lamb (OMG!!). Good drinks also (ask for the French connection).”
“This restaurant is a truly atmospheric place with friendly, welcoming staff. Even if the weather isn't ideal or your mood needs a lift, their delicious Onion Soup is sure to warm you up from the inside out. The food here is consistently tasty and comforting—definitely worth a visit!”
“On a cold December day we chanced upon the Cafe. We were impressed with the very friendly staff and quick service. The place was very busy, but there plenty of willing staff on to serve. I had a sirloin baguette and Gill had a salmon bagel. Both were exceptionally tast. The price was not cheap, but fair these days I would say and if you have a good nosh that's OK by me. There is an outside area too which will be great in summer I imagine.”
“Lovely food really reminds me of Italy and presentation superb. Table service flawless, the owner is a very nice person”
“Amazing restaurant, amazing food and cocktails. Surprised my friend with a birthday treat when i secretly asked. Looking forward to coming back. Staff are friendly and so helpful.”
“Came here on Saturday evening. Staff were extremely friendly, the atmosphere was great and the food amazing! Would definitely recommend & we will be returning!”
“This café has really changed since my last visit several years ago: the baked potatoes have been replaced by crepes. I ordered a bacon and avocado crepe, which also came with spinach and cherry tomatoes and a copious amount of cheese, together with a smidgin of cooked egg. It was truly enormous and sufficient to be my main meal of the day. Nicely cooked: the melted cheese was lovely, the bacon was crispy and the spinach just wilted. If I was being very picky I could ask for a riper avocado (it was almost crunchy), and the crepe could have been cooked slightly longer but seriously, it was very tasty - as was my dark hot chocolate! I'm very glad I skipped the cream and marshmallows.”
“Have eaten here a few times over the years, always a good experience. Staff are attentive, and the food very nice. Recommend the steak and ale pudding - puff pastry crust was perfect.”
“Lovely food, great portions. Really helpful and polite staff. Will definitely visit again”
“Amazing Sunday roast in a great atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed it ! Will go again.”
“Had breakfast at Bill’s and it was fantastic! I had the shakshuka, honestly the best I’ve ever had. Really warming, perfectly spiced, and so full of flavour. The flatbread on the side was amazing too. My husband ordered a side of hash browns, and the portion was huge! Lovely people serving us as well, such a friendly atmosphere and a great start to our day. Highly recommend!”
“Absolutely delicious food, with lots of choice, we all went for the roast, many side dishes included which you pay extra for anywhere else. The service by Callum, Amanda and another young lady was spot on, nothing was too much trouble. All in all, great venue, delicious food and great service, I’m proud to call you my local!!”
“After a wet windy afternoon at lamport hall craft fair, the roaring fire was most welcome at the inn! Evie who was the most attentive waitress showed us to a fantastic table ! 2 of us had trio of beef,”lamb, pork roast dinner ! Which was delicious! Best yorky puds I’ve ever had, cheese cake for pudding , all scrumptious !”
“Spent a Saturday afternoon here for a friend's birthday, we opted for the £30 meal and drinks deal. The food choices were great, the cocktails were delightful and the staff were very attentive couldn't do enough for us. Great atmosphere and a fabulous afternoon.”
“Great breakfast, friendly staff and value for money. We stayed at the Travellodge up the road, which does not serve food, this cafe is a 5 minute drive, highly recommended.”
“A Delightful Gem in the Heart of Woburn Rating: 4.5/5 During our recent visit to the charming village of Woburn, we discovered Flootes, a quaint coffee bar nestled amidst the picturesque streets filled with art galleries and boutique shops. As a family of four, we were delighted to find a lunch spot that catered to our dietary needs, particularly gluten-free options. Flootes offers a diverse menu, including sandwiches, toasties, hot and cold mains, as well as sides like chips and roasts. For those looking for a more indulgent experience, an afternoon tea option is also available, but requires a 48-hour advance booking. We particularly appreciated the attention to various dietary requirements and allergens, ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone. Our family opted for sandwiches, salad, and nachos, which proved to be a satisfying and delicious lunch. The quality and taste exceeded our expectations, and the price was reasonable, making for a great value meal. Aside from its delightful food options, Flootes also boasts a selection of champagne and wine, which we did not sample due to the time of day. However, we fully intend to return to this lovely little coffee bar on our next visit to Woburn to enjoy a glass or two. In conclusion, Flootes is a delightful find in the heart of Woburn, offering an array of delicious dishes to cater to various dietary needs. With its excellent food, charming atmosphere, and attention to detail, we highly recommend Flootes for a memorable dining experience.”
“Lovely Sunday carvery. Will definitely come again”
“Stopped in here for a quick lunch with my partner. I didn't expect a great deal if I am being completely honest but much to my surprise this was one of the best burgers I've had anywhere. I would recommend this for a quick bite to anyway”
“I spent New Year’s Eve here and I am still blown away by the value for money. For just £10 per person, I wasn't expecting much, but the night exceeded all expectations. The Highlights The Food: The price included a full 3-course meal. The portions were generous, and the quality was surprisingly good considering the ticket price. The Entertainment: After dinner, there was a disco that kept the energy high all night. The music selection was great and perfect for seeing in the New Year. Value: Brilliant. In an era where many venues charge triple digits for New Year's Eve, getting a meal and a full night of entertainment for £10 is unheard of. Final Verdict If you’re looking for a night that offers a fantastic atmosphere without the "holiday markup," this is it. Brilliant value for money and a great way to start the year!”
“Visited Towcester for the weekend, popped in on the 10th October for evening dinner, was pretty busy but food came out quick and hot. We sadly did have to rush as our table was booked for another group shortly after us. We decided to return on the 11th with a booking this time. Food was honestly 10/10, service was amazing and couldn't have asked for a better birthday meal. Many thanks to the staff for an enjoyable experience!”
“Lovely homemade cakes and such good coffee”
