Good place yo stay, well specced, large and very very quiet. Just in the middle of knowwhere so you'll have to drive for a bite to eat. But a very nice place to stay and handy for bedford. Loads of parking at the rear, it was up some steps and a large staircase so no good if you have mobility issues.

Only stayed for accommodation as the public premises were closed. Accommodation was lovely, spacious and clean with a few extra touches, nice village location. The only downside was the entrance to accomodation, poorly lit, steps and handrail unsafe, needs a little bit of tidying up.

Haven't eaten here yet. Now have. See below. It's a neat little pub. Sat outside. Nice enough. Not a great beer selection that I could see. Inoffensive. Had a meal on Friday at 6.15pm Pub was dead, only 2 people in there. Bar staff were fine, didn't meet the high price and posh vibe but they weren't unpleasant. Food was cracking, we had burger and fish, both delicious. Also brownie and pineapple tart, tasty. It is worth noting that my pint was pulled with cleaning fluid in it, when I mentioned it the bar staff put a glass over it and left it as 'off' rather than resolving the issue. I was given a pint of something else but it wasn't pump so a shame. Ultimately the atmosphere was really lacking but the food was great. 12% service charge was incredibly steep.

For the past six weeks I have spent Monday - Friday staying at The Red Lion while away for business. During my time at The Red Lion I have stayed in multiple rooms ranging from one of the cottages, the apartment and my personal favourite the palm and they have all been top tier from the interior to the cleanliness the rooms cannot be faulted. The staff within the pub made us feel at home and looked after us completely throughout our stay always making sure we had everything we needed. The Food never disappointed! The menu had a range of items which during our stay we went through and my personal favourite would have to be the cauliflower wings and the peanut butter brownie! Credits to the chefs,Becca and Jess thank you!! Freya ,Charlie and Michael we can’t thank you enough for the hospitality over the past six weeks, we become villagers for a period of time and hope to return again soon for another stay at The Red Lion! Food 10/10 Rooms 10/10 Staff 11/10 ;)

Had a lovely lunch at this beautiful village pub today. I loved the vegetable pakora and king prawn risotto and my husband was very happy with his sea bass! Our kids loved the food too. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Will definitely go back!

We've visited The Red Lion twice in the last few months, it was so good the first time we had to go back! As soon as you walk through the door there is a cosy, elegant vibe. We were given a warm welcome on arrival, and this excellent service didn't falter all through the evening. Food was delicious and varied with something on the menu to suit everyone's taste. The menu had changed on our second visit which was an unexpected surprise - We can't wait to visit for a third time in the next few weeks - Faultless!

4 of us went based on good previous reviews but didn’t know it had been taken over since the reviews 3 of us ordered steak which we couldn’t hardly cut a slice off to taste it was that gristly the other had a ok meal but had finished by the time our replacement had arrived …. “Frozen tiddler and chips “ The fish was so small when I opened it there were 2 forkfuls of fish!!!!! And they wanted to charge £20 each for that!!! when the waiter came over literally 2 mins after he dropped them off our third party member told him everything was fine as she didn’t want to make a fuss but it was diabolical!!! We told them at the end and got some off the bill but definitely not going back even after being invited back for a free meal

Bad reviewers...keep 'em coming, so us locals can pop in for fantastic impromptu meals on the off-chance. Sadly our pub is so popular, we now have to share it. Seriously...Alex, Andrew, Chef and Peggy have done a great job and we are very proud of it.

Quality oozes out of every crevice at the wonderful B & B in the very pretty village of Stevington. The welcome was warm and well, welcoming, which is always a good start. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and beautifully furnished. We found the all important bed comfortable, with excellent bedding and mattress. The standard of the buildings throughout was superb, doors, bathrooms, carpets were all of a very high quality. The breakfast the following morning was like everything else, faultless, quality ingredients prepared and served to rival any awarded restaurant. Thank you Red Lion for helping making our stay comfortable, I'm sure we will be back
